  1. I'm assuming the red/wire to the ignition switch is the power, because Im not getting any reading from in. So, before I ghetto rig and solder a line straight from the battery(I've tested it and it will start like this) I was wondering if anyone knew where this thing goes and where it could be screwing up. Thanks.
  2. Is that going to clear everything? looks pretty long. Nice work.
  3. I dont think they have a falken 225/50/15, they have a 226/60/15.
  4. I stretched a 205/50/15 on a 8inch wide wheel. I've only driven it around a bit(probally less than 50 miles) so I can't officially say its okay to use these wheels on the street with stretched tires. 205/50/15 gives me allot of 50-70$ decent tire options. Your also going to have to talk to diamond about cutting a 9 and a 9.5, because you will have to pay for a 10 inch wide wheel and then your going to have to pay to get it cut down to the 9 and 9.5. I'll probally be buying some 16x8s from them in the future so I have more access to decent bigger tires. I thought about running 15x9s or 10s but the cost of the getting the wheel cut and only having access to crappy minitruck tires persuaded me not to.
  5. That thing would stall if you didnt launch from about 6k rpms. You have a viper or something those are going on?
  6. My first time painting I used a garden hose that stuck out of the garage as air(my lungs felt like crap the next morning as I'm sure I inhaled allot of paint). Now I use a mask with filters and a bunny jump suit, eyes are unprotected and sometimes I can feel the paint pissing off my eyes(usually the clear coat). If this is a once in a year type of thing and you just want a shiny paint job with maybe a couple of specs of dirt then I dont think you need something so extreme. The body has an immune system for a reason, and unless your doing this professionally twice a day I dont think you need to worry to much. However if I had the time and money to build such a setup I would go for it.
  7. That is a nice setup. Thumb tacs and the plastic tarps for me though.
  8. I saw that you at vans over the summer. Nice car.
  9. I've used mine on the street, they're fine. You'll have to convert that offset into backspacing to order them but they'll make around those sizes, you might need a small spacer if you need exactly those offsets.
  10. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=107136 15x8 with stupid low offset.
  11. I wanted to say fj20 or something but I think thats a 4 banger. S20? 2 liters for a 6 cylinder engine? gotta love the tax law that forces the japanese to try and stay under 2 liters.
  12. I thought it was a l28? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-high-performance-Jim-Wolf-3-1-stroker-motor_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33615QQitemZ8019760621QQrdZ1 I figured it looked like that. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106459 showed up like 2 pages before.
  13. What fuel rail do you need/use? one for a supra or an aftermarket of some form?
  14. I knew it was going to be that car from the title, that article has to have been around for about 3 years now.
  15. wait.... a 280z has brights(high beams)?
  16. Diamond racing wheels. I'm using 15x8 but i think they go up to like 17(?)x14 or something insane like that.
  17. jabed my amp meter probe thingys around in the switch and now it works. Thanks.
  18. White with a good chunk of gold flake that I put into the clear and that you cant see in the pics.
  19. yea, 15x8, probally not gonna sell because the car would look real good with the old stock ones.
  20. Thanks guys, I dont trust my bondo skills so I chose to not mold them in. Obviously nicer wheels are on my todo list. Would like to get a more well rounded car before I spend money on stuff for the sole purpose of bling. Also, help me out if you can, was hoping to get an inspection tomorrow so I could drive this poor thing around. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=107142 Thanks.
  21. Right side will work fine. Left side wont. All lightbulbs are good as they work when the hazards are on. However the hazards now make a wierd wind up sound under the dash and then hyperblink. Any Ideas?
  22. I will be spending the next decade wetsanding some of these runs out. Need to get all my wheels pointing straight and weld the diff, then ill start focusing on makeing it move psuedo fast.
  23. Cool, Thanks. I'm gonna try and do that on the rest of the car. Use less paint per coat and just make sure its semidry between coats so it doesnt run. Pic of hood:
  24. Finished with hood and flares. Hood is going to need allot of sanding due to running, how long should I wait before wetsanding?
