  1. This '77 had been tapped on the drivers side and the inner fender support suffered some damage, nothing to impact the integrity of the car, and its hidden under the fender but since I had a good panel to install I removed the old one and installed this one this weekend. First I media blasted it and the area underneath, shot the car area and the inside of the reinforcement with epoxy and treated the weld areas with weld through primer.
  2. When we bought this '77 the battery area and firewall were rotted away and the PO started to cut the sheet metal away. Fortunately, thanks to Marcos from the forum he as able to find a nice rust free donor section for us to install. Using my Spotle spot weld cutter I had to disassemble the panels in order to install them in the car. With the firewall panel cut out we were able to really clean out the cowl area and apply POR-15. With the battery tray section removed I was able to really coat it well with white epoxy primer before installing it. The top section of frame rail near the fireall was rotted so I cut and spliced in a rust free portion. Next step is to install the new floor pan from a our parts car and then the Bad Dog rail supports.
  3. Williamb I think you found a great looking combination for us that don't want to run flares and if those fronts will clear the large Toyota calipers that is great news as well. Looking forward to seeing some pics installed. Regards, Scott
  4. There was a group buy on those at least a year or more ago. I've priced having that brace made locally but I was quoted a bit over $200 to have a vendor supply the brace in that sketch cut with a waterjet.
  5. A question with the guys like turbojohnny running the 16x8s, what is the best offset to run to clear the body fenders and suspension? I see the Rota RB-R 16x8's offered with a +4 or a +10 offset. TIA, Scott
  6. Can't wait to see the new WG installation, will it be similar to the old setup?
  7. Well if you can't get it straight enough you can always weld a return tube to a standard pan.
  8. You could try a body dolly and hammer or just buy another one, they're pretty cheap.
  9. What rear calipers does Silvermine use, all their add says is 500hp stock calipers so I guess its a secret.

  13. How is $20 plus shipping from Seattle?
  14. Replace the tube OR run internal oiled towers with internally oiled cam OR internally oiled towers, cam and a spray bar.
  15. I can ship you one 2 day USPS from Seattle if you can't find a local one. Scott
  16. Dude, drive yourself up here and get one of my L28s out of my garage and you'll be back in buisness. Scott
  17. Well if anyone is running the larger Toyota calipers that can confirm they fit would be great to add to this thread.
  18. Well I guess I won't be having any of these braces made up, the quote came back today at $225 each, that is material and waterjet cut.
  19. Since the OP is 6'4", I would bet all the stock mounting needs to come out, the floor pans reinforced and brackets built to adapt those seats to his car. That could be an easy 10 hours depending upon the fitment and with shop rates running around $80-$120/hour, thats and easy $800 right there.
