  1. I'm planning to start off with 300WHP. I will also have updates on the website tonight! Stay tuned!
  2. All you guys and your GT-Rs... haha, 700HP, must make almost every gear feel like 1st
  3. The good thing is that you wont have to do any modifications to the bod or x-member to mount the damn thing.
  4. So yeah, one more thing, I'll probably have the motor mounted next week to take some moer pictures of the whole mount.
  5. Okay, I'll fix the photos in the thread later.... BUT! I have updates on tranny mount. Photo Edit
  6. Austin, there are two clip in stubs with two lengths for the R200, one short and one long. Just make sure they're on the right side. They should only be able to clip in if its in the propper side. If you switch them they wont clip in properly.
  7. I might need that driveshaft, but if you're selling it together I think it's no dice on that.
  8. Call them.. phone number is (888 ) 449-5131. Ask for Shea (sounds like Shay). Tell him Q sent you. If you tell him that "Q" sent you he'll take extra care of you. Any questions just let me know.
  9. I don't think the back window matters, just as long as your sides and front are within the rules. I mean what about trucks that can't see out of the back? They won't tag you for the rear, but sides and front is a definate.
  10. I wonder if you can getaway with modifying it for safety instead of racing?
  11. I thought they do the "visual inspection" to see where everything is in CA. Like all the EGR crap, I'm not sure about any of this as I have always had a Diesel car, or my Z.
  12. Another thing that I've noticed about SR swaps is the possibility of a lot of understeer. Most SR's swapped into the S30 chassis are a good 1-5 inches behind the crossmember, give or take. When you take weight off of the front wheels, your ability to gain traction in the front versus let's say an L-Series or RB is substantially different, and in my opinion, less traction. For instance when I drive go karts with the motor out back (like they all are), I tend to stick my fat gut as far forward as possible just so I can grab more grip to the front wheels. Otherwise it just understeers really bad into a wall and then they don't like me. But this is just my perspective and two cents. I hope you take it into consideration. Plus an extra two cylinders is just damn cool compared to the SR.
  13. I'm really not a HUUUGE fan of 2+2s, but that color seems to work out a bit.... NICE FREAKIN JOB!
  14. Want my opinion? I just don't think 2+2's are the "performance" type of car it supposedly is. Plus they're not sexy looking like the 240Z.
  15. Welcome to the forum.... There are a lot of cool things down there in Malaysia.... every once in a while I check out zerotohundred.com and there is some really cool stuff down there. Good luck with your new beast!
  16. I haven't gotten tehre yet, but reading the service manuals and wiring diagrams will help a lot!
  17. Ask Alex about this one... I think he mentioned something about S13 DOHC Throttle Cables being longer than the KA24E cables.
  18. Not to be doing any bashing, but I don't think EVERY SR swap is the same. From what I remember I thought Matt's and the SRZ mounts were a tad bit different. Because talking with you Alex one time you said you learned how to make a mount better after doing it on Matt's car first. I would check the exact location of each car to assume that all of Vildini's cars are in the same spot. Things that you should know before full blown production on anything. I dont want anyone to go "Well it fits on my car, but doesn't fit on his car" type of questions.
  19. Oh man does this sound like me x1000. "Oh so my crank dampener looks a little un-balanced, while im at it I think I got enough for a new ATI Dampener" "What's up with this ugly RB25DET intake manifold, all that extra piping!? Hey while im at it GReddy makes an intake plenum" "Man, my 3.3 Rear end doesn't seem to be geared high enough for the RB25DET, looks like a 4.11 R180 with CV's will have to work while im at it." "You know going so fast with all that power, I need more stopping power, while im at it I think i'll upgrade to 4 pistons, rear discs, 15/16 Brake MC, and clutch master (since they're right next to each other)" "While the motor is out, while im at it I might as well change the timing belt, oil pump, water pump, idler pulley, chain tensnioner" "Oh this clutch might not be good, while im at it a Fidanza flywheel and ACT clutch might be in good terms" I don't know if you've kinda got the point yet, but I have probably spent twice as much as I wanted to, which is all fine and dandy, I say if you do something might as well do it right the first time. Good luck, I hope you know 9K is a lot of money, and expect that to inflate to like 15k. It's really cool to see great guys updating the older technology with soemthing new like the RB series. It seems to be what Nissan was lacking back then, great cars now and then. When we're all done (when our cars are running), we should have an RBZ gathering (with everyone else).
