jyz77, Can you post a pic of your compressor in the engine bay? It's been so long since I've seen a Z with AC I forgot what it's suppose to look like. I have a SDS system and think I might have an issue with the hall sensor mount. I basically used the compressor mounting holes for the hall sensor so I'm looking for other options.

Either I'm getting old or it's getting hotter. I remember driving cross country from Cali to GA in the summer with no AC and no complaints. Today I went outside and couldn't muster the guts to drive my Z because it's 100 degrees outside. So that got me thinking about adding AC to my car. Originally the car came with AC but the compressor is gone and I'm sure a few parts are missing from behind the dash. Is anyone running AC on their L28et? If so did you have to relocate the compressor?

I actually bid on a boost controller and someone bid on it the next day. I didn't think anything of it until I noticed there were three other listings for the same item and two were expiring earlier than the one I bid on. I think it's the person listing it or someone he knows trying to bid the price up. I guess I need to sharpen my sniper skills too. Paranoid? Maybe.

He has a Canadian speedo.

Chrism, Thanks for the info. I've searched on craigslist and the prices for a set of those used seats range from $350 to $1000. I might have to rethink changing my miata seats since that leather would get mighty hot here in Texas! Those seats look very cool though!

Chrism, What did it take to get those s2000 seats in your z?

I've got a 280zx tranny hooked up to a L28et motor. When I get on it in third gear the shifter pops out of gear. It only happens in third gear so I'm wondering if something is out of adjustment.

I always wondered what those hole plug things were on BMWs. Looks alot easier to use than other OEM jacks I've used before.

Aren't those injectors smaller than the stock turbo injectors? IIRC the turbo injectors are 280cc. If the ones you have in the car are only 200cc then your duty cycle is probably at 100% at 15 psi.

Have you checked the wastegate? It might be stuck open and not allowing the turbo to build up any boost.

Thanks guys. I ran it on the street with no issues so I think I'll leave it off for now. I did a search and found out that the Suspension Technique rear sway bars are routed differently and thus eliminate the problem I was having.

I have a custom driveshaft and a stock sway bar. My driveshaft is hitting my sway bar under hard acceleration or downshifting. So I pulled out the sway bar and the knocking went away. My question is what can expect while running the car with the rear sway bar? Has anyone done this for an extended period of time?

Check your driveshaft bolts. I just got done inspecting mine because I had the same noise when I downshifted or accelerated hard. Turns out three of the four bolts where loose and one nut was missing. I could also move the driveshaft up and down with my hand. I bought new bolts, nuts, and some locktite.

Who's this Pontiac that died? I never heard of them.

I've had that kit for years and have never seen anyone put ZG flares with it. If nothing else maybe someone would like to donate their photoshop skills.

Thanks guys. I decided to use the cassette adapter and just use my XM radio from my truck. The only downside is I can only play the music that I've recorded and not live XM which is ok. I'm not going to mount the antenae and docking station which will reduce the clutter.

Looking at upgrading my stereo head unit and space is at a premium in my Z. With the SDS control pad I don't want an external XM module plugged into my radio with the mount etc. Does anyone have a radio in their car that will play XM channels without a separate controller. Seems like there should be a car radio on the market with XM built into it. I've looked on he crutchfield website but no luck.
