  1. i was thinking about getting one that has a ±√ symbol, because i always forgot to take ± when i take a square root of a function. i would get it on the web between my thumb and first finger, so i could always see it when i was wiriting. that just shows you how cool people with tattoos are.
  2. well, heres the thing, i am going to run a electric exhaust cut-out, off my dp and that is the one i want to run under the battery tray. i will also be running a 2.5" normal exhaust out the back
  3. im thinking of where to run the downpipe and i am thinking of cutting a hole below the battery box and have the pipe dump right behind the wheel. if i ran it below the framerail there would only be like 1.5" of ground clearance. naturally i have to watch out for the wiring harness and probably should have some heat sheilding there. any comments on this idea?
  4. updates: welding aluminum sucks ass. hey Prox. as you can tell i've been busy. yeah i got the hy off ebay a little while ago, thinking when i build my l28 for this car i can use it, and when i went with the 7m i just kept it. it's a little on the small side for a 7m from what i've heard, but i can get a hx35 or hx40 if im feeling saucy. so whats up with you, how much power do you think you are putting to the wheels?
  5. i got around to adapting my manifold's t4 to my turbo's t3 exahust flange. i was worried about welding mild steel to stainless, but it wasnt hard at all. started a little of the wiring and installed a few other things. one question for those who have done this swap, how did the alternator wires hook up? i have a t plug on the z harness, a 12v on the harness and a ground. the supra alt. has a 12v and a three prong plug. wiring harnesses diagrams make my head spin so help me out here.
  6. junkyard sbf with a big single turbo running megasquirt. just get a big diesel turbo and there you have a $2000 500hp/tq that if any part breaks, off to the junkyard you go. this is coming from a cheap person so your ideas may differ.
  7. i got mine on craigslist with a mild BHG for 100. a crap load of cleaning and some paint and it looks good as new
  8. all i did on the valve covers was take down the fins with a flap wheel on my grinder, but i bet they would look good polished. here are a few more pics of my progress. here are the mounts, the top two are engine mounts and the bottom one is the crank trigger for megasquirt. here is a closeup of one of my welds, i am so proud of it as it is my first good weld ever. heres the top of the fuel cell, that thing on the left is to tension it, so it doesnt move. it is picture hanger wire and i think it is quite strong. i will cover all this up with an aluminum sheet later. heres the bottom shot. you'll just be able to see the sump and -an fittings when it't done.
  9. right now i am fabbing up the fuel lines. i have installed the fuel cell and am about to throw the engine in for the last time. i am just waiting for the 100+ degree days to go away. also this week my summer school will end and i can then go full bore on this project.
  10. ok engine and tranny mounts are done, so expect some pics of those tomorrow. i still have a long *** checklist till i get this thing running.
  11. the engine the write brothers used in their plane. aluminum block no less.
  12. i was either going to do this or or a ka-t swap, but i knew it was going to be DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder, what the L28 would have been if there were a next generation made. so here are a few pics of it sitting in the bay i plan on pushing it back another half inch. it looks badass, tho not as badass as as a tilted over RB26, but it'll do im guessing mabye 3 more weeks untill it runs seeing as i am taking calc. 3 in summer school right now.
  13. i was going to fish all last week, but i slammed my finger in my hood so no more casting therefore no more damn fishing, it pissed me off.
  14. well it is registered. mabye an exhaust and street tires. look at the sweet turbo piping on that thing. looks bigger than a t3 to me.
  15. http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/173327813.html
  16. i will go see the movie, just to see all the trick drifter civics in the movie theater parking lot
  17. it's a B coupe, neat little car. yeah, about selling it, i havnt yet. i still see little things that i can fix, but now i really want to gat rid of it to free up space and time for my 7m swap into the 72
  18. just keep looking, i got mine for 200 with only 14K on the turbo
  19. i was thinking about doing a KA-T swap, but i decided to go 7m instead if i ever do it, just more displacement. but no matter what the KA will be better then a stock l28
  20. did you have any bubbling propblems when applying the paint?
  21. i hit a flying wheel ( THE WHOLE DAMN WHEEL) in my truck on the freeway a couple months ago. thank god it wasnt in the z, but my truck. i hit it with my A-pillar and if it was a split second faster it woulda taken out my winsheild and if it was slow it would have killed my pass. side window. the damn thing just bounced off and i pulled over and other then some scuff marks there was no damage, talk about luckey.
  22. i saw that white one too, in that storage lot, i was contemplating calling the storage owner so i could talk to the owner.
  23. i was messing around with mixes of thinner, and i forget which one worked, but it came out quite glossy and smooth, lots of bubbles, but they blew away, and this was in about %90 humidity 60 degrees out, when spring rolls around and there is better weather i will experemnt more. i could see this actually working.
  24. the cover on my 70 had a o-ring gasket inset into the cover wheras all other covers i've seen has has the gasket on the oil cap.
