  2. Check this post: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20857&sid=c74d75efb2625b8ae92e9b9c7bedfd0e
  3. Some people here have bought them from JCWhitney, and said that the quality was very good. Not cheap at $459.95 + shipping
  4. Yea, it does blend in well, right inside of the hump part. Here's a closeup:
  5. That's a hood scoop from an AC Cobra. You can get these anywhere, but I got mine from Carrol Shelby himself. I was in Vegas and looked up his shop, and he was there! I told him what I was doing with it and he gave it to me! Cool guy!
  6. I remember that thing! A kid I knew had one. By the way Denny hate to burst your bubble ,but this was with that pic. THE KRAZY KAR IS CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK
  7. Try this place: http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/240z.html
  8. It's definitely a baffling issue which gives you supply, with EFI you need constant fuel pressure, and if you turn a corner with a stock tank the fuel sloshes to one side when the level is low and you lose pressure. With your strocker, I'm not sure if the stock line will supply it. I would post the question at the L6 board.
  9. I'm running an efi 327 and added a sump to my stock tank. Go to "www" button below then to page 7, and scroll down. I would cap off the stock return, you could use Epoxy putty called Sonic-weld, that I bought at NAPA. If you don't want to add a sump, I would use the surge tank. The stock tanks don't have enough baffleing in them. Are you running a EFI V8 or L6? If it's a stock EFI V8, or L6 the supply/return might be enough. On my engine I'm using 3/8 supply/return.
  10. Since your tank has been boiled out, it would not be hard to add a larger return tube to it. You could take the vent hose , thats right above the fuel inlet/outlet, off and use that as a return if you don't want to do any welding.
  11. Go to the "www" button below and then to page 6. I have some AC pics there.
  12. Like Mike said get the manual: http://www.jagsthatrun.com , you can also get it at http://www.summitracing.com 1-800-230-3030
  13. I read that GM is coming out with variable valve timing on their V8s in '04 or '05
  14. Welcome! First off a '73 model is a 240Z, not a 280Z. A Muncie 4 speed will fit either a sbc or a bbc. As for fitting in a 240Z, you will have to widen the tranny tunnel for the shift linkages, but it can be done.
  15. Nice work! Those look like TIG welds, are they?
  16. I'm glad you can reflect on what you did. Just be glad nobody was hurt or worse. Unfortunetly, now you are going to pay ($$$) The fines are going to be high, + you have to pay for DUI school, not to mention you lose your licence, then have to pay $$ to get it back. I know 2 people that went through this.
  17. Do you mean it's still there? If so maybe you could get it for a steal if the family has no clue
  18. I thought the 240 rear bumpers are narrower than a 280. that's why the 240Z rear quarters have the indents for the rear bumper. Either way you'll have to make brackets for the front and back.
  19. I remember back in the late '70's there was one for sale near me for 7 grand! A lot of money then, at least for me, but i wish I could have afforded it. A nice investment at around 100 grand today!
  20. You'll have to custom make one. If you use sheet aluminum, I would guess it would be very light.
  21. First off welcome to HybridZ!!! Did you do a search? There is a lot of info on the Ford swap now. Start reading all the posts in the Ford section you won't be sorry!
  22. The best way, and maybe the hardest way also is to get a doner car and cut off it's roof. Then weld in some braces in your car from quarter panel to quarter panel to help hold the car together, then weld in the new roof along factory seams. You might think, "I'll just weld in a patch panel" but you will never get the contour right, and the metal up there is thin and might not weldup well, you will probably get a lot of burn through. Also if you don't get the body work right it will look wavy at best. Don't forget these cars are low, and the roof is the first thing you see when you walk up to it.
  23. If you are talking about the surge tank, yes that would work. Some people here are using this type of system. Do a search you will find other ideas.
  24. Oh..My...God... I was tring to figure out who was shiting who
