    Do a search, I remember someone using early Ford locks, they said it is a direct replacement.

    Is this a rebuilt engine ,or an older engine? If it's old it could be a stretched timing chain.

    In '91 Caprices came with a 305 or a 350. Make sure the one you get is a 350 so you can build on it.

    By the position of the dizzy, it's a scarab, not JTR. But it's not that big of a deal to change it. Some here have done it.

    If the dents are shallow, maybe multiple layers of a filler primer, and block sanding will do.

    Does anyone know if the carb SC setup would work with an aftermarket EFI setup like the Edelbrock EFI that I have.

    GM does not sell just the plugs. The plugs come with the wiring harness, and you don't need a harness. Go to Pep Boys like I said, I found them there.

    Back in the day these where concidered the first "smog" motors, they were dogs. But that was in stock form. If you change the heads and cam you could get 300hp out of it. It would make a good first engine since you already have it. But I bet soon after you will want something better. I would look at that 350 first.

    Did you use brake fluid from the begining? If not, and you used something else, you may have damaged all the seals in the system.

    Ram a screw driver through it and turn. Just make sure you put the screw driver in where you can still turn it. Works every time on a stuck filter!

    I installed a Vintage Air ,heat/def system. Nice and cold in the summer! I also installed cruise control for long trips, works great. Also a nice sound system, and sound deadner
