  3. LOL.... I'm now ordering adjustable rear control arms due to a situation my new AFR heads have given me... I've been chasing " the weakest link" for 3 years and there is no end in sight.... LARRY

  5. Swing by FAIRFIELD and you can have the R-200 I pulled from my 75 280Z and anything else that we took off for my R-230 conv. I also have some 72 240Z parts that I'm not going to use from my new project. This is all at no cost...... LARRY

  8. Great to hear and see another roots blower in action....... LARRY
  9. This dyno run was done after I changed pulleys on the blower to make 10lbs. boost. You may note that this was run 37 on my car, so I don't think I' m quaking too much at the thought of a dyno run . Also my two tuners will be happy to be put into the drag race guru's company. If you notice my old chevy heads were running out of steam around 3800 rpms. This week my 195 AFR heads are going in and I'll give you an update later. I'm leaving SAT. for a week in HI. so will post the results later. I would of let this pass but after reading all the RX-7 and LSxxxx posts I felt like it was time to respond to this thread to give a little pat on the back for my roots blower and a 355 SBC. It's all good in the hood, LARRY
  10. It's a good product.... A 4 to 5 inch length on each side top lip is needed to be ground off some and 3 mounting bolt holes need to be drilled. Also when I went to 15 inch rims a little grinding was needed on the inner lip for wheel turning purposes. If you get the running lights I also changed their mounting brackets and made better ones..... LARRY
  11. Your "fun" is about to start...... As to the oil, use heavy duty 90 weight gear oil found at any auto store. If you want, e-mail me your address and I will send you a copy of my blower manual. Also give me an idea of your build and I'll comment on it from my exp. What psi pulley does it have and what carb(s) are you going to run? A dyno near you and funds I would really recommend to do this right and save on replacement parts..... LARRY
  12. I also have a Mallory fuel reg. with an electric pump feeding a 700 cfm DP Holley carb. My fuel pressure guage is always moving between 4 and 6 psi depending on throttle action. If you can, before you start changing any parts, dyno it with a/f readings and this will indicate how your fuel system is operating....... LARRY
  13. To all Vets...... U.S.ARMY VIETNAM 65-66 LARRY
  14. Thanks for the comments....... Seat pressure...147# Over the nose...316# Side to side play.... .010 to .015 LARRY
  15. Decided to change a few things.... Comp Cam bee hive springs. Comp Cam 1.6 Pro Magnum roller rockers. Cometic .040 head gaskets. Special machined spring locators. Increased lift from .480 to .512. Last dyno was 405 rw ft. lbs., we'll see what this does in a couple weeks when they get installed. In a couple months I'll do a cam and torque converter change. Info on the bee hive springs....http://carcraft.com/projectbuild/116_0403_mail/ LARRY
  16. Reading this thread actually made me laugh out loud..... I'm sure that wasn't the originator's intent... LARRY
  17. Great turnout and some fine cars....more pics in Motorsport/Events Forum. Gathering in Fairfield LS1Z and GOLLUM RUDYPOOCHRIS and his brother LS1Z and his fine car LARRY
