  1. Considering all the information above and the fact that i already have the BW T5 and the 4.11 R200. I'll see how the trans and diff combo feels with my L24(mild racing cam) and looking into building a high compression L28 since i already have an excellent E31 head on my L24. Once again thanx a bunch for all the help.

  3. Well i went through a lot of trouble to get myself and R200 4.11 out of a 1986 200sx Turbo car. My intent was to eventually swap in a L28et motor and a BW T5 trans into my 240z in lieu of the existing L24 and 4 speed. However now i am told that a 4.11 rear end is not ideal for a turbo motor as my RPM's would be too low for the Turbo to kick in. If this is true then why did Nissan fit the 200sx Turbo car with a 4.11 R200 from the factory?
  4. sweet that worked awesomely well..... thanx for the help guys
  5. Hi, I would like to open the my 240z tail lights and clean them. If anyone could provide some guidance as to how to go about opening the tail lights it would me much appreciated. I just want to make sure that i dont break then in the process of trying to separate the the lens from eh body of the tail light. Currently the tail lights are off the car and i have removed all the wiring and bulbs out of the back. thank you
  6. I would like to upgrade my 240z to an electric fuel pump. So i need an electric fuel pump and the fittings/hoses to go along with it. I also would need a blockoff plate for the stock mech pump.
  7. Please do so if possible. I would absolutely love to hear your car. Also do you have any more pictures of the engine/trans and exhaust setup that you could share. thanx John
  8. absolutely beautiful car. Please post more pictures for us to drool over.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Normally i'm all for hod rodding cars but i think considering that is the 164th Z it should have been left stock and sold to a collector. In any case us more details as to what you plan to do to the car; your power goals etc etc...
  10. Found the red cog. thanx to all who responded.
  11. I'm interested in the RED 20 toothed speedo cog on the end of the speedometer cable.
  12. On one of our local nissan forums a guy is selling a LS1 and T56 combo for $3400 http://www.nismokc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14855
  13. i am at that point in my build that i need to make a choice as to whether i want to stay with the L6 or go down the beaten path of the 350 SBC or even an LS1/LS2. The only reason i want to stay with the L6 is because of the sound of the motor. While the sbc sounds like your garden variety truck; the L6 have a very distinctive race car sound. As far as i can make out all the other advantages go to the SBC; be it cost, power, availably of parts, aftermarket support, better weight distribution, reliability....etc etc etc. While i was pondering the best course of action for my car; i got curious as to what drove the rest of you guys to chose the L6 over the other engines and hence the question: Why did you decide to stay with the Datsun L6 motor?
  14. I downloaded the FSM and it answered all my questions about the T5. The wires on the passenger side are the neutral wires and the wires on the drivers side the the reverse lamp wires.
  15. kool I've never seen a wide body kit with ZG flares. Cant hardly wait to see the car finished.
  16. I'm swapping in the BW T5 into my 1970 240z. There's two wires that hooked up to the stock transmission which are located on the passenger side. but there's 2 pairs of wires coming off the T5 (driver and passenger sides). Which pair do I hook the wiring harness to? And what are these wires for?
  17. Kool I have access to 280z parts and can probably get the sway bar. thanx for the advise
  18. awesome car stivva. Absolutely love the wheels and the color.
  19. Hey do either of you guys have sound clips for your cars?
  20. Like the title says I’m looking for thicker aftermarket Front and rear Sway bars for my 1970 240Z.
  21. I'm thinking about doing a fake carbon fiber wrap. That way the flares and the air dam will match my CF sparrow tail spoiler.
  22. c'mon someone got to have on they are not using and are willing to sell.
