  1. Like the title says i'l like to buy louvers for my 240z. let me know what you have.
  2. thanx for all the pictures guys. Someone locally here is selling a louver for a 280Z on CL. I want to use it on my Series 1 240z rear hatch. I guess the only way to find out weather or not they will fit is to test fit them on my hatch. Below is a link to the CL ad; take a look: http://tulsa.craigslist.org/pts/2013858339.html My car going to be red in color with a black front MSA airdam and black ZG flares. Also my car will have a carbon fiber sparrow tail spoiler. I am hoping to add a rear louver (black) to prevent my carpet from fading in the sun and also giving the car a more aggressive look.
  3. Do you have a picture of the complete car showing the louvers?
  4. Like the title says; I'm looking for pictures of S30's with louvers on rear hatch glass. Trying to decide if i should use them on my car. thanx for any picture you might post.
  5. Hi guys, Is there any difference between the rear hatch glass lovers for the 240z and the 280z? I have someone locally that is selling a louver of a 280z and I'm interested in installing it on my 240z. Just want to check and see if it would fit. Also is anyone have pictures of S30 with louvers on the hatch please post. thanx

  7. you will probably have to run 225's to avoid rubbing your fenders.
  8. **Update on car paint** unfortunately i fell short of my goal of getting the color and clear on today. I had a few lil flaws that i needed to correct and then i shot an extra layer of primer before i could start shooting the color. Below are a few pictures of the color. For my first ever car paint i think it came out rather well. I am really pleased with the results and hope i don't screw-up the clear coat. let me know what you guys think of the car so far.
  9. **Update on car paint** Unfortunately i had to travel for work all of this week and hence progress on the car has been slow. I just finished spraying the final coat of primer tonight. Tomorrow i'll do some sanding in the morning and hopefully i'll have the color and clear done by the end of the day. Below are a few pictures of the primer. It has a 1 or 2 flaws but i'll fix that tomorrow morning before shooting a coat of sealer.
  10. Part 2 : Paint Supplies Ok so i got the spot lights from HF. Next on my list were the paint supplies: The car paint scheme is going to be Viper Red body with Gloss Black ZG flares and a carbon fiber Sparrow tail spoiler. Also I was able to borrow a friends brothers DeVilbliss GTI gun to paint the car misc supplies: 3M compounds and buffer for the final color sand and buff: Carbon Fiber Sparrow tail spoiler:
  11. Well I decided to go the DIY route on everything i have done to my car so far. Hence it only seemed logical to go DIY on the car paint itself. This is the first time i am painting a car and hopefully i do a good job. Please feel free to share any painting tips /advise or pitfalls from you DIY painting experience. I have finished all the body work (a real pita) and an in the process of creating my garage paint booth for painting my car. I keep this thread updated i i progress through the painting process through the coming week or so.

  15. what attachment do you guys use with the slide hammer to attach to the wheel lugs on the stub axle?
  16. I have a local machine shop that is willing to do the work for $50 per hub. Think I'll go to Autozone tonight and rent a slide hammer.
  17. The only reason i am redrilling my hubs to five lug is to increase the range of rims that i can run without adapters. My car has a stock 2.4L engine; so too much power is not a problem that I face.
  18. Meph, Could you please post a few close-up pictures of your cars rear tire and zg flare. I would like to see that cleanence you have with a 285 tire. I am trying to run a set of 295/50/15 on my rear with a 10' rim with a 3.75" BS.
  19. Anyone have any experience with redrilling the stock 240z hubs to 5 lug? Are there any pitfalls to doing this? Also what is the best way to get the rear hubs of the car ?
