  1. Car is going towards track and only a day driver. So i wanna delete that horrible mess of wires in front of the radiator and such ,paint my headlight covers etc. So what wires can be gone ideally i only want enough to run the car. SO that leaves me with ignitor coil alt brake turn signals and....?
  2. i can only make out 1 or 2 of the welds. Would some kind soul please take a good picture and maybe measure how far apart they are from each other so i dont turn my tray area into swiss cheese.
  3. I had a rx-4 wagon that i strapped a 5 speed to. It was the most fun one can have in a wagon full of groceries.
  4. walboro 255 inline thats what i am using. Dont get the msd 225 it has the specs but will run dry threw 3rd.
  5. who made 500+ oscar or mike? Issue is the long blocks have turned cranks every one after about 12,000 miles goes pull pan 5-6 rod bearing toast again. Always fresh oil components. NEver re use anything in the oil system. Not me my friend the 6g is just a bad design. I am apart of mn 3s
  6. i agree 100 percent. Rotaries get a bad wrap cause they get flogged buy a 17 year old and then handed off and blow. Its a fact that 75 percent of rotary engines external oil pumps (mops) are shot. causing dry apex seals to go around till they fly out the exhaust. Thats why i always premix with idemitsu. Piston engines are piston engines they all work basically the same way. Rotaries are very simple and even simpley to re build if you can ge past the 40+ seals in them.
  7. cartech box is junk its all about the pressure differential.
  8. Swap sight sure 3rd gen rx7's are more rare in my area than s30's. I can take a rotary up to 400hp in na trim with a 3 rotor and the sky is the limit with a 4 rotor build. The 3s does not take well to rebuild because you are not supposed to turn those cranks and people try to do it. They also suffer oil starvation mainly due to a dent in the oil pan. The pickup sits 3/16ths from the bottom of pan. One dent bends the pickup and all hell breaks loose. The 6g72 is a fine engine.........in sohc form. Go to the 3sx website they ran one without oil and anti freeze for over 45 minutes before it blew apart. The 3s platform is misleading because you can get into a 1st gen vr for around 4 grand but you better have triple that amount on stand buy for just regular issues not including mods. My main beef with people that rip apart rx2-rx7 is they do it becasue they have no knowledge of the spinning triangles of death. Thats the wrong reason to rip a motor out to drop in a hybrid swap. I have boosted many a carbed 12a in my time. Let alone the 4 rotor builds. Here is one of my rough drafts of a turbo 12a 260+ hp in a 2,100lb car. Also my camden blower on the same ride. Oh look the 3rd Mitsu Long Block for my now defunct 3s what a pos money pit.
  9. Its easy if you have skills with webers or mikunis or tuning triples. Key here is running right off triples in N/A trim. I have no issues tuning, my triples scream and howl like banshees from 1,500 to 7,000 rpm's BLowthrough its easy if you have the know how. Is it better than efi nope does it sound and look better yup
  10. I did not talk to him much as i was pretty in raged that someone butchered a 10,000 shell for a 4g63 swap. The car is un godly fast but is not as well put together as you would think. At least it was not when i saw it. It had to be trailored in. the 4g and 6g are plagued with so many crank bearing issues i would run like the dickens from either. This comes from a ten year vr4 owner.
  11. I wanted to slap that dude in the head at the cookout over that car last year. His reason he knew nothing about rotaries such a shame a terrible terrible shame. He butchered that car.
  12. Looking for the battery tray area cut out from a parts car. If you have something like this please pm or email direct. Thanks 1973 240z
  13. I doubt its the bare steel. Under my brake master i have the same issue factory paint is coming off in sheets. My engine is out as well. I planed to just scrape what i can ( i just painted the outside). I plan to just marine clean metal ready and por15 the entire bay. Time consuming for sure but what else can you do unless you SB the whole thing.
  14. I will agree with tony up to the point where drawthrough is good lol. I have seen so many of these rayjay setup loose there carbon seal and actually blow up meaning carb flies from under hood and explosion like activity. Back in the day when they where new they made there power. They did not make huge numbers WITHOUT serious knob dicking.
  15. Dude you fail i just lost any amount of internet respect i had for you. Drawthrough is the suck A$$ fail turbo system.i have installed 4 of those rayjay junkers on various makes and models. There junk require oodles of tuning time head gasket should be o ringed etc etc there just junk.
  16. Looks good. I hear yah on the paint i pulled my motor the other night. It was scary lol.
  17. Shaft alone is close to 8 grand with the extended bolts to run threw the plates. it cost me about 15-16 grand to assemble one.
  18. That motor is a stock port 12a it made 236 at the wheels. That car is long gone it was my test mule for supercharging and custom turbo setups. It was rotted on the under side in the bin areas. no saving it. To keep a rotary together with boost requires lots of things one piece apex seals for one....but they have a tendency to chatter the housings. R5 nitraded plates....tons of oil mods to be stable above 10 grand. The average rotary i build is not as wild as the 4 rotors but i do throw together alot of bridgeported 13bs. Average power in na trim is around 230
  19. i have done a 12a bt 13b bt 12s sc and 13b sc...............http://www.racingbeat.com/frmazda1.htm for carb
  20. Sorry i was not trying to be a dick. I get them made from a guy in oz yes billet. 4 13b housings 20b is just 13 b housings too and special intermediate plate.
  21. Becasue sequnetial ♥♥♥♥ FAILS How do i know this becasue i have removed 13 seq setups from 3rd gen rx7s and 4 porsche 911's. they suck they never or if they do for short term work right. Its a over complicated design that fails in 90 percent of applications. But dont listen the guy who worked at mazda for years. I have seen every seq nightmare you can think and dont blame the parts, Mazda got sued for lifting the design from the 911. The l28 would be pretty worthless anyway in a twin setup 3 cyl driving a charger get out of town talk about never in efficiency range of the compressor map. Or turbos so small you wouldn't care. Let alone doing all this on carbs. The theroy of seq twins is sound, one small to driver the large removing lag. But if youre turbo is mapped right you wont have lag. I have driven pleny of cars thst made full boost at 1,700. I will let TonyD elaborate on why they Fail Think outside the box lol.......i build 4 rotor and 3 rotor engines from scratch perphial port 4,000 rpm idleing 14,000 rpm redline lol
  22. Wow that is the worst idea i have ever heard. Not only is it bass ackwards there is no room in l28 compartment for all that craziness. Let me tell you why that fails outside of lack of room. Disel motors are not as prone to knock as gas engines. They knock in the re native forum. I have seen stock trucks at work creep to 40lbs and run fine. Buy the time you rigged some dinky ♥♥♥♥ on a l28 to turn 15-18psi you would have the same amount of money to have a twin mani made. That is some hillbilly crap and i live in the sticks of wisconsin. Completely the wrong idea why would you pump 1,400 degree air into a inlet of another turbo. I have truley given up on this thread. WOW is all i can say.
  23. there was one for sale not long ago in fs section. Problem is they where made for rhd cars. They might not fit with are steering rack. there is nothing more to the tank really except a block off plate to cover what i showed you and a y inlet pipe. These tanks are not cheap and many of us dont want to disclose much about them
