  1. Carbies..... i have a type 1 on my l28
  2. Posting these here for posterity since one of these is hardly ever seen.
  3. Brian these are exactly what i was referring to when we talked on the phone.
  4. What happned to your drivers head light bucket paint chips
  5. Nice ride. General thought do people look under cars anymore before they buy them?
  6. TonyD has tracked where my car came from and guess what....It passed threw his hand in 2001-2002. Confirmed at that.
  7. Still looking on the old forums for the topic. If you're gonna go that route might as well strap a paxton on the motor.
  8. Brian is aces all the way. He secured me my HKS SURGE tank.
  9. yeah wot runs before on the wb02 showed 9 and 10.5 near 6 grand. Should be safe with the boost pushing the fuel in via the floats.
  10. Is frank not the shady guy i have read about on here with the turbo kits and such? Indeed the chassis is beat. Lots of things just look wong on this car rushed etc. Wo builds a cage and then never bothers to paint it to prevent rust for example....Rush job it seems.
  11. Pretty soon waiting on surge and still need to drop the tank. Getting nervous.....always nervous first time i blow boost threw a carb on a new car.....Should be good though timing reset to 15 total all in at 3 grand. Car idles at 13.7 and goes down to the 9's wot N/A should be jetted good.
  12. I have always used concrete bags to remove dents just sit it on it and let gravity do its thing. Works good on floor pans.
  13. FWIW Holley needs 6-7psi of pressure. But if it did not start when you pored gas down the throat check timing.
  14. Well after about 4 hours of looking threw threads and pictures i am stumped.
  15. yeah the hard part is finding that cam and finding a way to lock it down on the bar.
  16. I will take some. But...what i did was cut out all the offending rust. I had a good 1/2 3/4 inch good metal at the bottom near the frame rail. What i did was fab the pieces por 15 the whole area. Tack welded the piece on the inside of engine bay. Tack weld the piece on the outside in the wheel well. Stich weld the whole thing. Suck the pieces together in the middle with rivets. Por15 again and then 3m seam sealer all around to seal the area from air and moisture. Its not the prettiest fix in the world but this car gets tormented on the street and track. I can say that my repair is better strength wise than when it left the factory.
  17. Much progress over the last week. All my fuel goodies showed up(still waiting on surge tank) Plumbed in all my Earl's fittings. I must say the super stock hose is very nice and very flexible and does not kink until extreme angles. Fired the car up for the first time in about 7 months. Sprang to life and the triples let out a HOWL. Man does it sound good. It quickly drooped back down to my famous 450rpm idle and it sounds good. Will snap a video later but i got a more work to do. Inter-cooler and to finish up the plumbing on the fuel end. My only concern at this point is the chokes on the back of the webers. The choke covers are open to atmosphere at the bottom. I had to remove the covers to clear the intake but i am worried about blowing pressure out the back on boost. In theory this should not happen but who knows. 2nd startup
