  1. Sorry 'bout that. 240hoke is on the money. There are multiple ways to measure boost and, even though the scales are different, they mean the same thing. 3 (of the many) ways Boost can be measured: Bar PSI (pounds per square inch - absolute) mmHG vacuum (millimeters of Mercury) 1 Bar = 14.7 Psi = -.39 mmHG
  2. This is incorrect... the turbo outlets merge into one intake tract. 2 turbo's generating 6psi of boost = 6psi of boost through the intake (assuming no pressure losses/drops).
  3. What year is the car? With warranties being popped (i.e. voided) left and right for simple modifications, over-revving, funny tire wear (and on and on), you're almost better off having the dealer (or a reputable shop) change your oil. When I bought my WRX the service manager flat out TOLD me to have someone else (besides myself) change the oil, and that I should keep EVERY reciept and a list of odometer readings corresponding to the oil changes. The warranty game is getting funkier every day... I do everything myself on my Z (ask my knuckles... they are tired of the abuse!) and no way will I let any shop work on it (except, perhaps, for the roll cage)... But on the WRX... meh... the dealer can handle it.
  4. Here guys: http://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html Very informative.
  5. I've heard. I spent some time talking with those guys... good people.
  6. Well... a good friend of mine (who happens to own a MkIII Supra) came down to SoCal and dragged me out to the 2005 SILV. We didn't go for the car show... we only wanted to attend the Dyno Day and the Drag Races. Quite a few of the MkII and III guys had thier cars dyno'd. Several of them (7M powered) spun the rollers to over 400hp. One 7M powered street/drag car pulled 822hp on juice. We were really excited about the invitationals... but they ended up being a SLIGHT disappointment. The two WOTM (Wide Open Throttle Motorsports) cars dyno'd. The first pulled 1081hp before it grenaded a tire and nearly took out the 20 or so people standing BEHIND the car (er... that isn't very smart). The 2nd car pegged the dyno at 1200hp. They are estimating that both cars are in the 1400rwhp range when fully tuned. The Boost Logic car didnt dyno (also ~1400rwhp) and neither did the Virtual Works Racing car. The Horsepower Freaks car was also missing. Most of the MkIV guys didn't dyno... don't know why. The drag event seemed a bit FUBAR. The Supras were supposed to hit the track at 6pm, but didn't start running till 7 or so. They were running between the Pro Comps and Grand Nationals. The WOTM cars didn't run (while I was there) and the only drag cars that ran were the Boost Logic car and the Orange 822hp MkIII. The BL ran an 8.52 (which FINALLY shut up some of the ignorant dumb @$$es sitting behind us in the stands), and the MkIII was having technical issues and couldn't put in a full run. I REALLY enjoyed watching the GN's run... man can they fly! And their turbo's... whew... damn sexy sounding. The HIGHLIGHT of the night (for me) was watching an S30 run with the GN's. It was a clean yellow car that was running consistent high 12's. All done and said it was a good day. I'll try and post some of my friends pics when I get a chance.
  7. I'll take my Beretta 92FS any day (even if it's only 9mm). Easy to break down, clean, and has a nice balance to it (for me anyways). May not be the sexiest gun on the block... but I love it!
  8. It took me awhile to figure it out, but once I did... Lol! I bet HK was kicking themselves after that advertisement came out!
  9. I see your mistake... you forgot to get the Porshe grease cap. I did the same thing and the Autozone guy gave me the part number... ID10t
  10. I took something like 130+ pictures on Saturday, but Owen has most everything covered! 510's (Datsun Boy's) cleaned house!
  11. Yes... Oklahoma has it's fair share. You must show them the way Daniel!
  12. I've been scoping out my next project a bit and I'm kinda interested in the TE27/37 corolla's. Does anyone have any experience with these? What prices do they usually go for? I know the TE27's are hard to find, but what about the 37's? I've done a bit 'o internet searching and I must be looking for the wrong thing... cuz I'm not finding much. If I can't find one of those I think I'm gonna import an old Bluebird. (I can hear you now, Brian). How hard is it to find an early 70's Celica?
  13. Er... I think it would melt off during the baking process.
  14. LOL. Didn't he try and copyright the term 'Hot Rod'? (I'm kidding... but I wouldn't put it past him)
  15. Oooh Oooh Ooooh... I'll take the Warsteiner M3 Replica!
  16. Motor/Tranny installed Intercooler mount fabricated, IC installed Hubs/Axles installed Wheels/Tires mounted VB Flares being modified to fit Wheels/Tires A marriage and subsequent honeymoon have conspired to slow me down a bit (don't tell her that, though! Lol) Still to Do: Finish Body Work (flares, roof, and a door) Install Q45 R200, dial in driveline angles Install fuel cell Route IC piping Install radiator (finish all shrouds/install fans) Fabricate Downpipe and Exhaust Install and tune EMS... and the list goes on!
  17. Well... technically they were correct. dampened is the past tense of dampen. Not to be confused with the name of the parts: Dampers So... a pulley that is not dampened is not a damper.
  18. So... do you want to completely fabricate your own from the ground up or do you want to modify something that already exists to fit? Either way... it's ALOT of work. I'm currently modifying the Victoria British Flares to fit my application... and it's a pretty time/labor intensive job. What makes it easier, though, is that the VB's are already setup to match the shape of the car where the flares meet the body. Saves a bunch of time. Anything is do-able.
  19. Lol! It's definately going to have haunches!
