Well maybe he while chime in or are you buying the car up in Sac, Black, flairs and a cowl hood. or better yet is it the car in HEAVYZ's sig? JOEY P.S. either way I p.m.ed you my shops number if you need help or have questions or wanna stop by or want to go out racing. (sac or infinion)

  3. It is posted in the classifieds under engine parts and misc. Description of the system is in the ad. JOEY
  4. There web site is turbohoses.com I'm dropping my Z off there on Saturday to get the same exhaust that Ulises has. I've seen Ian's LS1-RX7 and they did a real sweet job. Looking forward to getting rid of my crush bent crap, overpriced exhaust. It's Slowing Me Down!!!!!! Mikes RX-7 is stunning, The car turned out beautiful!! The only thing that bothers me about the pictures is how low the car sits, Like MY motor is still installed in it. HA HA HA HA!!!!! Need any help with the swap, let my know! LOOKS GOOD ULISES and HOOVER
  5. Hey Rustrocket! Unless you have cut your heads down, the stock length will work (7.40). I HAVE a set of push rods, double coil springs and I think the retainers. All brand new from TS&P. I bought a cam package. Used the cam and went with AFR 205 heads that I cut down. Let me know. You are pretty close to me, I live in Concord and my shop is in Orinda! POPNWOOD is right I missed a shift racing and bent a push rod (oem). Brand on the new ones... I can get back to you on that one, forgetting. JOEY
  6. Answer?!?!?! JTR! They can provide the mounting as well as the rad! JOEY
  7. Looking good Ulises and Serg!!! Pictures do alot of justice, You guys should see it in person!!!! SORRY!!! About the delay in the driveshaft. I should have driveshafts next week! How a drive shaft shop can run out of aliminum and be out for over 8 weeks is beyond me! JOEY
  8. I'm a loner too!!! by that I mean I do 99% of the physical work myself. I have a couple of friends (non gear heads) who did help me stab the engine in my Z. I think the only reason theay did it was for bragging rights! Meaning if the Z is at the track or a car show, They tell people that they helped build it! B.S.!!! As for the mental-thinking part of my projects, whole different story. I've made some real good friends from this site. Mainly being MAS280 and LS1240Z. They are always ahead of me in projects (Z's and FD's). Always better to ask alot of questions than pay later. And the same goes the other way around. They ask me for advice as well as I've helped many people on this board through forums, phone calls, pm's and e-mails. I've heard it menctioned here many times that we are on our "own little island." I'm sure everbody agrees, I would really be on my own little island if it wasn't for HYBRIDZ!!! JOEY
  9. Mike.. Your a good kid!! I've been reading your post's for years. You remind me of my "clean up kid". I've thrown alot at him (h.s. senior). Brakes, Alignments, Lof's, Safety inspections, mounting and balancing tires, and some electrical, the kid will figure it out. He catches on real quick as well as keeping close to his family. Anyways.. I 100% agree with MIKELLY, always has great advice!
  10. Mike..... I think I'm missing something or fill me in. Seems like you had it made in Houston. Why did you move to Florida? I'm thinking to help your family? Sorry to ask a question you prabably have answered a ton of times. JOEY
  11. The FD's were sold in the US from 93-95. A grand total of less than 15 thousand cars. I believe (could be wrong) the FD was sold elsewhere in the world till 99. JOEY P.S. Good comments, info and linky's fcdrifter13
  12. I haven't been hassled at all. My brother is S.F.P.D. and he has not had the class or does he think that they will ever offer it. Where I have heard of it around here (nor-cal) is mainly with the Sheriff's departments. And again I'm told (by the man), It is mainly directed at ricers! JOEY
  13. Found this on Torquecentral. Entertaining. I have heard of this happening in my area. Seems they target the ricer crowd. Here's the linky. http://youtube.com/watch?v=NCyMkB0uMeg JOEY
  14. I can see pix now. Nice R1 Cyrus. What are your plans for it? Are you gonna join the LS1 crowd like MAS280, LS1240Z, HEAVYZ and me? What did you pay for it? I loved driving my FD until I pulled the drive train out of it. I'm sure I'll love it more once my swap is done. Looks good. Whats cool about the FD is there rare and a great looking car. Meaning, except for Mike's, John's and Brets, I never see any. JOEY
  15. Something you will always remember as well as........ The first drive!!! I'll never forget mine! Really cool for all that hard work to pay off and a huge pat on the back for a beast you built with your 2 hands. Good job David!!! Now get that exhaust done and other loose ends and lets see a post on your first drive!!!!! JOEY
  16. HEY CYRUS! Found this on Craigs list this a.m. http://www.craigslist.org/pen/pts/139636218.html Hope this helps! There is a guy in Palo Alto that has an LS1-RX-7. I think it's the same guy. His name is Jason or goes by Payne! Take care Joey
  17. SPEEDMON The JTR headers are made by SANDERSON. They are Ceramic coated. WEIGHT??? My 77 280z was weighed by Mike Knell (JTR), with a scale on each wheel. Car weighed in at 2940. Thats with bumpers, four point roll bar and alot of sterio equipment. I did a post on it a little while ago, I believe the name of the post was "I'm the new heavy Z" JOEY
  18. WELCOME!!!! 500HP. Is that engine or rwhp? What mods have been done? If thats engine, I would think it would be close to my 420 rwhp. See my sig! JOEY
  19. I've been told the 98 is the least desirable of the LS1's. There are differences from the 98 to 99-04. It's been a long day at work and I'm drawing a blank right now. I'm sure someone will chime in with them. JOEY
  20. SSFLYER, I can answer that question. The motor was a complete pull-out from a brand new GTO that flipped off a delivery truck. Found on E-bay for a price $$$$$. JOEY
  21. Saw the car last week. Looking good! I talked to Drive Line services today. T-56 yokes and Q45 flanges are ordered! Only problem is they are out of aluminum. They have been waiting for a shipment for 2 weeks. I'll let Mike know! JOEY P.S. Congrats on the new father and uncle!!!!
  22. Hey Cyrus! Sorry I just sold my complete pull out. Maybe try doing a post on TORQUE CENTRAL or RX7CLUB. Tell us about your new ride!!! JOEY
