  1. Ok so I ran into two guys from here, Dan Juday and Owen. I was trying to see who's car I would recognize, but they honestly look different on the street then on the net. I thought it was a great show and shine after the rain stopped that is. Highlight of the day was when some kid comes up to me, looks at my motor and says "wow that setup should be good for about 240hp! (check my mod sig if you don't think thats funny) I have an NA that dynoed 193hp to the wheels with a stock block!" I just smiled at him and said "193hp with stock block huh? thats pretty impressive. I haven't dynoed yet but hopefully I can get 240 or so out of this motor." Anyways here's me with my '73
  2. I bought mine from roadrace engineering. They are just as good as quality as turbohoses.com. I bought my 45 deg from turbohoses. They do give you a small discount if you tell them you have a z car. Like 20% or something. They also sell them cheap on ebay. Hose tecniques is another company that makes them.

  4. Sounds like a good scare tactic to me.
  5. Well there you go folks. All new weatherstripping and his scar still stinks. It seems like there's no one solution. I'm going to change my weatherstripping in the tailights and hatch this week. If that doesn't work, I'm going to be pissed.
  6. Well noone replied so I'm gonna give some more information and hope someone can help. When I first swapped the motor, the ignition was strong, and the car started right up. As time went on (days) it got harder and harder to start. I sprayed electrical cleaner on the dizzy connection and the coil connection, and it started up right away. I thought I had fixed it, but after a few days I tried to start the car again and doesn't fire. Any ideas?
  7. Well.... on the other side if crash stories were included with the kill stories then we would get a proper perspective of the danger and fun at the same time. I'm with Jamie though. I love kill stories, but I guess they can be told in the non-tech forum as well.
  8. Has anyone else experienced this? I've read all the searched forums on exhaust fumes and know about the firewall and the tailights and I'm good on both. However, I still get fumes with the windows down. I'm considering doing AC and never rolling my windows down again. However, I was at MSA once, and was given the suggestion of extending the tailpipe out a few inches. This seems to go along some with what this gentleman has suggested. I think I may try this, though it will look pretty silly with a 3 inch tip.
  9. Why not go through vildini? There's was around that price if not less if I can remember quoc. And they have it right there at the shop.
  10. Well my car has a new motor and its tuned pretty rich till I get it on the dyno. Problem is usually my car takes about 3 turns to start, and it doesn't ever fire hard. Every once in a while my car won't start, or I'll have to keep turning it maybe 10 times or so. When this happens, sometimes I'll see smoke coming from the air filter when I turn it. Any ideas whats going on? Is this a tuning issue possibly?
  11. Well scottie, I met a guy down here that was able to pick them up in person, so he paid only $200 for both. Beside even for an extra $160, thats still cheaper than one seat would cost me from a brand name right?
  12. I saw these on ebay and actually got a chance to sit in them, and well they were pretty comfortable. I'm don't autocross or nothing and my seats are really bad and uncomfortable now. Is there any reason I should be spending big bucks on recaros, corbeaus, ect...? I would just like a comfortable nice looking styled seats that recline. Is there a safety/quality issue here or do you pay $$$ for a name?
  13. This is a very interesting thread. Chris you said 22 psi on 93 octane? I remember when mike(on3go) made a thread a long time ago about wanting to get 400hp on pump gas at about 22 psi, and everyone said it was a bad idea. I'm running 8.5:1 compression. Is it possible to run say 18psi (or even higher) on 91 octane safely with a proper tune?
  14. You know I would have but my harness was so chopped up, it was completely unusable. I asked the guys at the shop if anyone else could benefit from it, and they shook their head and advised me to throw it away. I think they were trying to spare me from the humilitation of anyone seeing what my friends and I had done to it.
  15. If for some reason you have a hard time finding a z31 MAF, re-tunable ecu's can be tuned to run a ford cobra maf or a z32 maf (90's 300zx) Or you buy mine off me. I got two, and an 88 ecu. Sorry for the plug
  16. There was a guy on zcar.com that was asking if anyone needed a good F9 map. Look it up in the search. There's a few guys on there that have it.
  17. Read the top Yasin, thanks for the compliment though.
  18. haha, thats all it was good for at the time. I've since cutout the hood to make it functional. I forgot all about the date and missed the meeting saturday, hope to be at the next one at vildini.
  19. I haven't floored my car to hear the wg dump because i'm breaking the motor in but i'll let you know what it sounds like. What type of wg are you using?
  20. Thanks for the comments. I'll look for that stamp on the hotside tommorow and see if I can get the specs. Chris240 thanks sooooo much for that map. You saved my life and got my car running. Its 2004. Haltech needs a wizard already . I'll post more vids as I get them.
  21. I'd love to hear full boost just as much as you. Unfortunately I'm just breaking the motor in. I don't have more than 50 miles on it. The turbo's a t04E P trim. Thats all the info I have on it unfortunately. I have another vid. of the motor running thats pretty cool, but I could only get two on here. I'll take one down and post another soon.
  22. OK I fixed it try that out guys. BTW before anyone says anything, I did not choose those wheels nor are they staying on.
  23. After a year and thousands of bucks here she is. I can't figure out how to make pictures appear. I have a few more cool vids if anyone wants to host them. I got a vid of the motor and stuff. but here's a link to my gallery. Special thanks to Vildini Motorsport who saved me from disaster. They wired my car, built the exhaust, and surge tank, and a ton of other stuff. I highly recommend them if you're in the socal area. Very good and honest guys. http://album.hybridz.org/data/509/9754MOV00368.MPG VIDEO http://album.hybridz.org/data/509/9754MOV00369.MPG VIDEO II http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=9754 Enjoy! Oh yeah all the mods are in the sig minus ARP studs and maybe a few other things just ask
