Agreed, that's a steal at that price considering its a turn key done project. GLWS.

If you dont mind me asking what are you looking to get for it?
-
Well here is my new 77 280z. its basically bone stock NA fuel injected car. All its gonna get is cosmetic stuff for now. shopping for a front air dam, and wheels. already have a set of over-fenders. it will stay silver and black. Only rust it has is in the right front fender and under teh battery tray. I had to use a pick to find the rust under the battery tray so it isn't that bad. I was really surprised to find no rust at all in any of the usual places. I still need to lower the front a tad bit. The interior is fully intact with the exception of the center console where someone did a real hack job on a stereo install. The odometer reads 75xxx and i have a feeling its the original mileage consider the shape of the undercarriage but who knows

Thanks, the more i read up on the system the more i like it. seems like it will do everything i need it to. especially nitrous control. i'm going to have it control the nitrous so its on whenever i'm at WOT and less then 20 PSI. Also kinda of anxious about seeing if i can tune the off boost stuff to get the converter to stall a little better.

Talked with Yuri at wiring specialties and we are shooting for oct 15th to be completed. IM building in a longer igniter harness so i can mount my ignitor up under the dash. should add some life to it.
-
Well i mailed off the Vpro and Harness today. Should have my AEM EMS and New wiring specialties harness soon. Will update with pics when its all installed and running again.
-
Gavin is that a MSA front air dam?
-
So the IAT is exactly the came as the water temp? the one on the bottom of the pic is the water temp sensor.
-
Ok so how the hell do you resize in photobucket now. they have some new editor crap!!!
-
looks like they are talking about the coolant sensor. I'm looking to confirm what the IAT sensor looks like. the reason is it looks exactly like the coolant sensor and in fact are interchangeable in my manifold. i just wanna make sure it wasn't there just to plug a hole. I have never used this sensor as the Vrpo had its own IAT sensor. Now that i'm going back with the stock style harness for the AEM system it will need a stock IAT sensor. here are pics of the sensors. The one i'm pointing at is obviously the water temp. The one below the throttle cable bracket is the sensor in question. I guess they would have about the same temp range??? and could interchange???

The hardware supplied for the rear bump is just a handful of hardware that wont fit anything. I had to bend up bracket and buy all new metric hardware to fit the car. the bumper did fit all that well either. had to twist and bend it to get it close. Oscars over fenders were poor at best. I will say his costumer service is excellent. up to this point he has responded to every email i have sent him. i recently tried to install the over fenders i bought from him and they were no where near close to fitting. they were flat and would have to be bent to extremes to make them fit right. almost like they were removed from the mold too soon and laid on the ground and flattened out. I called him and he explained he has a new mold now and is going to send me a replacement set ASAP. i will update when i receive on the quality.

Anybody have any pics of what the coolant sensor and IAT sensor look like? Are they the same sensor?

IMSA / Fiberglass bonding technique durability examples
stony replied to Zman0690's topic in Body Kits & Paint
Not sure if it was the 3m stuff or the filler/bondo used. either way we were kind of in a hurry so my guess is we didnt wait long enough. only one side showed up where the screw holes were. But like i said a little wet sanding and polishing will fix it. -
INterested in a how to on how you modded the stock harness to work with the AEM. I have 2 options with mine. Buy a premade $600.00 harness from wiring specialiities or buy a new $400 stock r32 harness and modify it. in your opinion is it worth the time to mod the stock harness or just spend another 200 bucks and get an aftermarket harness made for the AEM aplication.

IMSA / Fiberglass bonding technique durability examples
stony replied to Zman0690's topic in Body Kits & Paint
I had subtleZ 1/4s installed, We used the same product that GM uses to bond corvette body parts together. made by 3m? so far so good. its been about a year but really been just sitting in the garage. If i do it again i will wait longer for the stuff to cure before painting. we had a little bit of shirnkage and some of the seams are beginning to show. now a little wet sanding and polishing cant fix though. -
When i had SDS it was one of the first versions. i think the rb25 was the only one that had V-CAS?
-
Anybody using the AEM series 2 ECU yet? or know anyone using it? just curious if it runs the coil packs from the computer or do i still need to maintain the ignitor and stock COP harness.

Heat treated in the engine compartment. Seen to many people have the master cylinder spring a leak and catch fire due to heat. I used Lava Wrap, 1" x 50' Heatshield Exhaust Wrap on the downpipe Heatshield, Thermaflect Tape, 4" x 10' on the Master cylinder heat shield and Lava Mat - 24" x 24" sheet on the bottom of the hood to prevent that from catching fire!!!! supposed to reflect 2000 degrees as close as .5 of an inch. only thing i was un happy with were the wrinkles in the matting due to the way it was packaged. it should have been roller up vs folded. oh well it will still work. I ordered it all from v e r o c i o u s m o t o r s p o r t s . c o m their prices are usually a few dollars cheaper then summit and jegs. some pics.

Rota Shakotans.... anyone running them?

Cant tell in this pic but do the overfenders cover them up good? or do they stick out a little? -
SO I stop by this alignment shop before I bring the car in and ask, "can you do a front end alignment on a drag race car?" he says sure. I told him I just need to get it as close as possible to stock settings. he says no problem again. I again asked as I was going out the door so your sure you can do a drag car no problem, nothing is stock on the car. he says NO PROBLEM get it here in an hour. So I haul ass home, and since I have driven it around the neighborhood several times with no issues I decide to have the wife follow me while I drive it to the shop 8 miles one way. We made it there no problem. I sign in and he says have a seat. then about 5 min later the guy I had just talked to comes out and says we can’t do your car. I said WHAT???? he says "yea we can’t do it, the rear wheels have what too much offset". I said " what part of me asking can you do a drag car did you not understand" He says I didn’t realize about the rear tires. "I said again what didn’t you understand about the words DRAG CAR???:" what a efing ******!!! so this is a perfeect time for my ignitor to act up!!! car wont start ;< wife and i eat lunch and after about 30 minutes it starts right up and we drive back home and now I’m in search of another shop..... OBTW 8 PSI feels awesome!!!!! can’t wait to get it back up at 30PSI!!!!

I believe that one in the video is a v8 awd conversion and im guessing may have beeen a little easier then the GTR swap. I believe this is the same car. I personally believe it would be alot easier to build a tube chassis to mount the gtr drivetrain into then put the Z body on top. If i ever try it thats the way i will do it. trying to fit the unibody stuff together just sounds way to precise.
-
I really like your coolant mod. ever consider mass producing them?
-
Oscar, I sent you an email concerning the fiberglass overfenders you sent me. please respond asap.
-
For those of you who did the swap is this the correct ignitor? it is for a vg30dett. Also what are this plasma coils you speak of??? got a link.
