  1. Your Z looks like what mine will look like in a few weeks. minus the hood. I too will be getting the RBRs when the time comes.
  2. From the sounds of it these particular wheels are +25 offset and if i use a 1.5 inch (38MM) spacer it would put them at -13 offset which shout fit stock struts with 17 inch wheels correct? At any rate i'm going over to check them out tonight and will post results.
  3. I'M going over to look at these wheels tonight. Anyone have any experience with 240sx wheels and what offsets or backspacing they run. these wheels are 17x 9.5 and look like they sit pretty flush with the sx fender. I'm assuming i will need spacers to get them to clear the struts on a 280z? They are xxr 527s These dont look like 17s but i think they look good on a Z
  4. Looking for opinions. I for sure want to go with a 240z style rear bumper and over fenders. Should i ditch the current front bumper and go with a 240 style bumper or stick with it? I would love to see pics of anyone that has this front bumper with over fenders installed.
  5. OK i just got done reading all 40 pages, and you my friend have not or you would know the answer. The answer to your question is a resounding no. you need flares for that size.

  11. Just cleaned the engine bay so i'm guessing something got wet... Anyone wanna take a stab at this. i'm assuming once everything dries out it will be fine but would like to know whats causing it. Slow acceleration about 1/4 throttle in all gears right at 2500 rpm car just dies. feels like ignition turns off. Then once below 2500 again comes back on. If i go 3/4 of throttle or more does not do it and accels just fine all the way to redline. any guesses?

  17. Specs on wheels please those are hot and look great without over fenders.
  18. Ok motor is a L28. Its in a 76 280Z with FI. i need the piece that goes between the throttle body and Air flow sensor. Mine has a big crack in it and i imagine that's why it doesn't idle well. Does anyone have one lying around they want to get rid of or know where i can get one new?
  19. Jiffy lube busted mine ;< Took the glass out of the drag car for the DD now in search of a door glass for the drag car. Its for a 280. I have both sides but i guess its for a different model cause its not even close to the one that came out maybe a 240z?
  20. OK i'm done, Discod the brake lines, emerg brake cable, half shafts, and sway bar then used a little down force to get them low enough to clear the tunnel. Took me about 2 hours on the first side then 30 minutes on the second side. Car sits allot better now and rides a whole hell of allot better!!! BTW there is no way around not discoing the half shafts. ;>
  21. So where is everyone getting their over fenders now a days? anyone still making the BAMF over fenders. I plan on running 17 x 9.5 with 4.5 backspacing on teh rear and teh 17 x 9 up front. Will normal over fenders work or do i need the bigger ones? Also if someone has a used set of the rota rbrs i might be interested ;>
  22. I'm swapping out the carts and springs on the rear of the 280 i just bought. Will i be able to disco the brake lines, (drum) disco the half shaft from the stub, then disco the top of the strut and lower it enough to get the springs compressed and removed? or am i'm going to have to go thru the dreaded pin removal process? I did search but all i found was coilover discussion.
