  1. The heat exchangers on our air compressors are made of copper. They break from time to time and I just braze them up. They never break at the braze, they always find a new spot.
  2. I have aluminum lines and bad gas smell that I have yet to find. It's not the lines, it's the Z.
  3. It's meant from the heart. From one z'er to another. I owe you anyway from that ride I gave you the other day!
  4. Maybe because it's common knowledge. My mother taught me that, didn't your's? Hey, don't you be talking about my mama like that!
  5. Awesome JP! It's amazing that they can cram all that fiberglass into that box. Look's like you have alot of holes to cut. When I was working on my kit car's fiberglass I always wore leather gloves. One time without them and you'll remember it for a while. I really like the removable floor. If you ever need a hand just call and I'll come running.
  6. Yea, stock is not 500 RWHP. He's looking at hard launchs and nitrous. The LS6 clutch would be toast.
  7. No way a LS6 clutch will hold 500 and sticky tires. Spec 3 clutch here, no problems, hooks up like no tommorow.
  8. As you can see in the picture below the front used the bumper mounts and attached to an adjustable offset plate. Zerrari did a good job on this and it worked well. I saw the car up on it and it moved easily and seemed well balanced.
  9. I have a rotisserie that I bought from Zerrari GTO a while back. I'll look at it tonight after work.
  10. When I had mine done I: Deleted EGR Deleted AIR Deleted EVAP Deleted the rear O2 sensors (Keep the front O2's) Added wires for A/C Added reverse lockout Lengthed the cable to mount the computer under the seat (I made a mistake and only had it stretched 1 foot, It should have been more.)
  11. Let me ask this in another way, would you guys do the -7cc with my existing cam and keep the quench at .043 or go with the bigger cam and go with the -2cc to get the quench down to .030?
  12. Hey Grumpy chime in here please, and any other onlookers, here’s my LS6 stroker plan. I am trying to achieve the ideal quench and DCR for my cam. I am thinking about a bigger cam though to keep my quench right and still be able to use –2cc flat top pistons. Bore @ 3.905 (being done next week) Gasket bore is 3.945 Stroke @ 4.00 The pistons are flat tops with valve relief’s at 2cc (or 7cc as shown below) The block is being decked so I’m guessing that the pistons will be out of the hole about .010 or maybe .015 (My stock LS1 was at .005 out of the hole.) Gasket is about .053 thick compressed Heads are 63cc + ring land volume of .99cc for a total of 64cc T he cam’s duration at .006 is 280 intake and 277 exhaust (230 and 224 @ .050) The lsa is at 111.1 That brings the Static CR to 11.51 If the calculations for the Dynamic are correct then I’m looking at a DCR of 8.75. This also includes a quench distance of .043 Over at LS1Tech I see that the LS1 like’s a quench of .030 - .035 and a DCR of 8.5 to 9.0. So if I run a .040 gasket and go with a –7cc dish piston that gets me a Static of 11.1 and a Dynamic of 8.5. If I run the .040 gasket and go with a 285 cam and the –2cc pistons I’m looking a Static of 11.89 and a Dynamic of 8.75. Any thought’s on this?
  13. For a daily driver I'd do the Caddy in a heartbeat.
  14. That was House of Kolor Cinnamon Pearl on the Camaro. That Z of Bob's looks just like it.
  15. Thanks guys, I really like that color. Just plain sexy! The brown is ok, it's the white spots and cheapo rust repair that I want to cover up! Hey, I saw Mike's car last week at the Hooters meet. Nice! Oh and so was the other Dales! He had a really cool grille from believe it or not a dodge truck! It looked great. There were other Z's there too. Someone had just got a RB26 conversion going and drove it there, it was flat black. I gave Zerrari GTO a ride, he's the second rider in the Z, but the first to 70 in 4 seconds!
  16. It was a nice harness and they seemed like an easy going group over there. The quality was just as good as Speartech's but you had to have a 98 computer to work with their harness so I sold it because I had a 99 setup. I assume that they will do a new version now, and quite frankly I think they would be a good choice for you since they are so close, wacky weed or not.
  17. I can't speak for the LT harness, but the LS harness I got from John was outstanding! Custom length, extra feed's, well marked. It took a little while, but he can make what you need.
  18. Yup, JTR's fit just fine, Johns cars has some headers too, but they are 1 5/8" and too small in my opinion. I tried the Corvette headers and they were a no go for me. I am using Johns mounts. I have heard that with custom mounts a corvette header can be used if you saw it up and aim it right. Dont know any details but I read it on here. Do a search.
  19. Hang a licence tag on your A** and drive it on the street! Oh, and it looks like a her.
  20. I agree, a modern version of the 1600-2000 would be nice.
  21. I really like the color on this guys camaro. How do you guys think it would look on the Z? http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=527546
  22. My dog brought me in a twig. It's great being a dad.
  23. Babe's on Ninja's. Now that's my kinda girl!
