  1. Just look in my member gallery for pictures of the car!
  2. Well, the interior of my car will be black, with white autometer gauges, and red 4-point Saabelt harnesses. I want to tint the hatch- and sidewindows a bit, but not too much. The rims have a bright silver face, and a polished outer lip. Furthermore, I want the car clean, so no racing stripes or graphics.
  3. Ooops, sorry. The wheels arent rewind, but "imagine".
  4. Something in between perhaps? I don't want it to be overkill either, but it's always nice to be noticed when you have put so much time down in a car. But the most important thing is that the car looks GOOD! I want the best looking color!
  5. Well, now the time has come to decide what color I want on my 240Z. It will have 17 inch konig rewind wheels. Any suggestions? (Preferably with pictures!) I am thinking of ferarri red, 350Z gold, black, or silver. Other colors might be good as well. It is just so darn hard to decide... I have thought about this since I got the car several months ago, and still haven't made up my mind...
  6. Ok.
  7. Does anyone know how much the 1970 240Z chassis itself weighs completely stripped from suspension, engine, doors, hatch, windows, bumpers, fenders etc? Is it light enough for 4 persons to carry around? I am hoping to get the chassis on jackstands on the outside of my fathers garage(There isn't room for it inside because he has two cars there that he is working on). To do this, we have to carry it over a cement "edge/wall" (So it can't be pushed or pulled with the wheels on. If you look at this picture(of my previous Z), you can see the "edge"(Not sure what the correct english word is) on the left side: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2232&cat=529&page=1 We have tought about making a ramp and pushing it up there, but it would be easier to carry it up there if it is light enough for me, my father and my two older brothers to carry. (My mom and my girlfriend can of course probably help too)
  8. Does any one know of a snap-of hub (Quick release) that will fit a steering wheel with the MOMO bolt pattern?(Different bolt pattern than Grant)
  9. I wan't to sound dampen my 240Z after tearing it completely apart. I will remove the heavy asphalt mats inside, and replace them with something water resistant and lighter. I want the car to be as quiet as possible, but at the same time, I want to add as little weight as possible. Any recommendations for a lightweight, but good sound dampener? That is also waterproof?
  10. Yep, going to use the stock sender from the early 240Z fueltank. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great. I am aware of the difference between the mechanical and electrical oil-pressure gauge. But as for the water-temp gauge, is it the same there? The mechanical one hooks up to a water line to measure the temp? Anyways, I'll use all electrical ones too if that works!
  11. On my last car(260Z 2+2) I used MSA springs. Chose them because they lowered the car more than the Tokicos did. I had the car for two years, and think the springs was good!!! I give them a thumbs up!
  12. I am going to buy a set of autometer ultralite gauges from summit. Will get the tachometer, oil-pressure, oil-temperature, water temperature and fuel sender. But exept for the tachometer, I am not sure what to get. Mechanical or eletrical? Which of the fuel senders will work? Etc. If anyone can guide me, that would be great!!!
  13. Hmmm.... I still need a SS 3" downpipe that will fit a stock 3 bolt T3 outlet on my hybrid..... JeffP, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I paid 1500$ for my TEC3. It was new, unused, bought off Ebay.
  15. I am going to buy a honing-tool today, to hone my turbo-block a bit since I am installing new forged pistons. I have to buy the honing-stones separate. I can either get 120 grit(Rough), 180 grit(medium) or 280 grit(Fine). What should I get?
  16. Zcarnut: Well, I got it from america. J. Soileau: Yes that was my thought as well. But you see, the one with the flat end doesn't quite fit on the CV adapter. It's diameter is just a tad to big. Do you think I can just grind that down a bit then?
  17. I bought a bunch of stuff from Bad Dog Zparts. A rebuilt T5, an R200, a pair of reconditioned CV halfshafts etc. Well, when looking at the CV's, I noticed that they were not identical. I tried them on the Modern Motorsport CV adapters, and only one of them fit. The other one almost fit, but the diameter was a bit to large. Look at these pictures: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2779&cat=530&page=1 The one on the left is the one that fit the adapter, so that is definately a 280ZXT CV halfshaft. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2780&cat=530&page=1 The one on top is the 280ZXT CV halfshaft. What is the other one? Can I use the other one, or will I need a new 280ZXT halfshaft?
  18. Hmm. Oh well, I guess there is no more upgrades needed then... 8)
  19. Well, they also have hydraulic rockers, which is not a good thing. I would go for the first one, depending on how much they want for it. The price isn't listed for that one. Anyway, why not just get a cheaper turboengine, of ebay or of the for sale forum here. Then tear the engine down, and rebuild it yourself and let a machine shop do the things you can't manage yourself. You will get a much better engine that way.
  20. By the way, anyone has recommendations on which pistons to get? I have heard to stay away from Venolia. Too see why, look here: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=1&i=575149&t=575149 Also, please chime in on my engine mods if you feel I have left out a vital part of the puzzle when I am trying to get 400rwhp or more.
