  1. http://www.racetep.com/webcarb.html#dcoe for parts,I just bought rebuild kits about $100. dcoe's are easy,Take each jet out and clean them 1 at a time with carb cleaner and compressed air no wires also the passage ways. Make sure they are open, new gaskets, check the floats, new float jets, new filters, make sure the butterfly shafts are tight. If they worked before they should work again.Clean the needle valves and seats. http://www.carburetion.com/weber/weber. htm,http://www.carburetion.com/weber/weber.htm
  2. Yup! Who puts a lift in thier kitchen anyways. First pic. Second lift looks much more stable.
  3. Clive! We got the turbo loaded just in time before it started pouring!!!
  4. Yeah! I like the color to. Original color code is 305. The guys at Eagle Auto- body of orange county N.Y. are doing a great job. I stop in every couple of days to see how it comming along and just shoot the bull. One of the body guy said that when he was a 17,18 he was working on Bob sharps cars.
  5. Well we are sitting here logged in as Buzz on the work PC, and we should be working....so.
  6. Here is the long short story of this car...by the way this is Dave (CygnusX1) logged in with Mike's account. My friend and I installed this hot motor into a rusty 76Z back about 1982 in upstate NY. Then the car sat for a couple of years as my friend moved to San Diego. His parents put it up for sale in NY when I was in high school. I was driving a "duct-tape restoration" of an Alfa Romeo with webers. My friend wanted a toy also so he bought the rusty 76Z with the jewel motor. Him and I found a 77 in the bronx with a good body and dropped in the jewel motor. We busted a champagne bottle on the bumper and we had a high school kids dream car. Loud, fast, attractive...with Ferrari seats! We raced it light to light through high school beating Ninja 600's. After high school the car was parked in the basement of a building in the Bronx. It sat for 20 years or so until I met Mike at work. He wanted a hobby car so I told him about our old "race" car. Mike took it home, took it apart, and is currently redoing everything the right way. The motor is still as it was built back in 1982. Venolia pistons, 11:1 compression, tripples, balanced, big Nismo cam, isky valve hardware, headers, CF clutch, twice pipes.

Well: It does say Turbo on the trunk lid? I don't see a turbo in there any where, probably replaced with the blower. It has a dial for boost control plus and minus in front of the gear shift, looks factory.I did see a boost gauge,I don't think it was in the tac,I think it was in front of the shifter with 2 other gauges that look factory.I think the fender flairs and running boads are metal and look to be factory,But not sure I had limited time and it was getting dark,I was only under the car for 2 min checking power to the starter.every thing looks to be factory but the super charger.I'll get more pic's when I have more time, it's in a storage shed no electric. He got the car from a woman that was getting a devorce,it was her husbands and in her name! Stupid ! She needed money. Wait till he finds out!!! LOL It was sitting in a barn,Not even sure if it runs yet.It wouldn't even crank over, due to an alarm system,But I fixed that!! He,He. I belive it might be a 77.

  17. Put the wife in the back and the baby in the front!!
  18. spray on hair? Is that like fiber glass in a spray can!!!
  19. Yeah I wire wheeled it first to get the heavy stuff off, marine cleaned several times to degrease it good, metal readyed it twice,I did what it said on the instructions but more times, plus 2 coats of por15 and top coat.I think it's just epoxy paint. But check with the pro's!!! Epoxy primer and then high build primer should work just as good if not better.Go to body work and paint fourm here and ask questions and do a Search? Paints need to be compatable.
  20. Prime the parts that are done so they don't rust.epoxy primer, seals out moisture and go from there.
  21. You should check with the paint house to see if the paint and primer your going to use will react with the por15,I've never heard of any one painting the whole car with por15? It's usualy used on the underside.Epoxy primer is probably better and seals out moisture. But Im not a body guy so check with the PRO"S. It's To much work to ruin the finish!!
