  1. Sounds like boost pressure is getting into cooling system. That shouldn't happen?Any water in the oil? Or oil in water? Sounds like a head gasket problem?Do a cooling system pressure test.
  2. Dude. If you can't do any thing with them. Send them to http://www.wheeltechniques.com/wheelrepair.html . I had a 5 star momo that was hub bent,I sent it to a wheel shop in N.Y. and they screwed it up worse. They made it look like an egg.Not only was it hub bent but now the rim was out of round.I think they had a bunch of monkey's beating on it with hammers. Then they said they couldn't do any thing with it!!! I sent it to wheeltechniques. They fixed it and it looked like bran new!!!I asked at the tire shop when I had the tire put on if they could spin it first to see if it was balanced, they said it was perfect, better than the ones I didn't have fixed. They do package deal for 4 wheels to refinish call them they are in California. It wasn't to much to have one fixed and refinished compared to replacing them.Worth a shot!! Mike
  3. DUDE you need more light we can't see the car OR the Girl!!! LOL!
  4. It's probably the gauge!I had a liquid filled gauge and it did the same thing,I put in a standard air psi gauge and it worked fine.Of course the holly fuel pump dosen't!!runs good for about 30 min and then just stops pumping.I tried the return line with a bran new holly pump and that did the same thing.Holly crap pumps
  5. Thread a bolt into it,the bolt will push out the bearing(bushing) its brass and soft.I used a puller though!
  6. Damn: I just threw out two tranys for parts ,just bad bearings!!

  8. funny EvilC ,I like your driving Miss daisy car pic.
  9. Is that ground on the coil of the relay or is that a double pole relay. If it's a double pole relay power is going to dead short to ground on that pic.The reason for using relays is for heavy loads, small control wires controll the relay and heaver load wires threw the contacts of the relay.Make sure you fuse it properly.
  10. Lifting the engine would be easier,so you can get the rack off it's saddle.I did mine with out lifting the engine and it sucked!!!
  11. Hi: I was wondering what primer to paint the front fenders with,I was going to use epoxy primer DP40 under the fenders to keep out moisture and under coat over the primer or do I need a top coat or sealer over the epoxy, also should I use epoxy on the outside of the fenders. The fenders are new nissan with factory primer on them.I live in new york. Not a daily driver. Thanks Mike
  12. I bought a new set from nissan $250. each
  13. They are worth more if they run!!!
  14. I had the same problem with holly liquid filled gauge, try a gauge with out liquid. It seem that the heat from the engine made the liquid expand causing the gauge to read 0. I installed a air psi gauge and it worked fine. Mike 77 triple webers.

    fuel lines

Hi I have a question,On a 77z which line is the fuel pick up? 3/8 0r 5/16,I've been having the same problem with fuel pumps psi just dropping off. The 3/8" is higher than the 5"16" on the tank.I have replaced the pump, added a inline filter, all new lines, cleaned and sealed the tank, added a return line to keep the pump cool and fuel flowing.I was just wondering if I have the wrong pick up line.seems that the larger one should be the pick up but it's higher on the tank. The old pump was a holly, and I replaced it with another holly.Same problem.I installed a walbro diaphram pump and it seem to work fine untill I let the car sit for about 1 year ,while redoing the engine compartment.I finished reinstalling every thing went to fire it up and had no fuel psi. The Diapram deteriated and filled the electric portion of the fuel pump with fuel, doesen't seem like a good design( fuel and electric)In the same compartment.I just bought a elderblock 120 fuel pump ,which I am installing, just wondering about the pick ups. 77 280 triple webers Mike

  22. I think #3 copper is good for 100 amps but over the length you are running you should go bigger so you don't have a voltage drop, a least # 2 copper. You can get direct bural cable alu.200 amp maybe 150 amp if you can find it,alot cheeper than copper,You don't need conduit only at the end where it enter panels from the ground. Dig a ditch 24 inches deep and cover it.O yeah you need 4 wire.seperate ground and sepreate neutral.neutral needs to be isolated from the ground at the sub panel. Check with your electricial inspector in the area they will tell you.You don't want to do it twice.Unless your not getting it inspected? Bigger is better in electric wire!
  23. Ok well I removed the clutch and re aligned it and it went right in,Trany is in it must of moved .,Ok on to more stuff! Thank fror your help. Mike
  24. Good question,It went in OK.LOL! I have a imput shaft from a 5 speed that slides in ok? I think it's just not lining up straight.I should measure the imput shafts on both trany's
  25. Not the springs or fingers on the pressure plate, the springs on the disk it self.I'm sure they face the trany.
