  1. That is a great find! I wanted that cell for my track car but 3 grand was tooo much. I still ended up spending about 1k on a cell with internal regulator and pump to power the ls-1. Good job.
  2. Most of us here are "mixed breed" Good luck with your project.
  3. Keep a journal, should be an interesting trip/adventure. Good luck and I would love to see the car when you get it out here. Mark
  4. Just dynoed my lt-1. 427 rwhp and 410 ftlbs of torque. Block huggers and duel 2.25 inch exhaust. It ain't stock though. It peels the skin off your face when you step on it.
  5. I bet the switch is bad. I would try the contact cleaner inthe switch first or see if you can find another switch. I've had this happen several times to numerous Z's.
  6. If it has slight front end damage and no rust, have them pull it. THen do subfame connectors. If the car is sound, why are they worried about pulling it? got pics
  7. Hey Tim, Sweet car! When you get tired of this project, any interest in shipping to NC? I'd be interested. My wife's grandfather had one of those and she would be all over that.
  8. An amazing piece of work. What type of rear spoiler are you going to use?
  9. If you find a car with just one rust spot, Buy it! No matter where it is.
  10. Same deal with an auto. The flex plate will not be neutrally balanced.
  11. Make sure you discuss balance with the machinest. Lt1's are a little different. If you have the rotating assembly neutrally balanced, you will need to use a flywheel that is the same or have your flywheel balanced. Mark

I've got the hooker block hugger headers on my lt-1. They fit fine. They are the shorties so ground clearence is not an issue.
