  1. the pump is mounted on the passenger side. It uses a modified AC bracket. The tank is mounted where the stock battery goes with some modifications. The car is not painted yet. I'll run it for a while in primer. That way if I need to cut something or move something it will be easier. When I have it running well and everything like I want it, it will go for paint.
  2. I think there is a sock or stariner type thing on the pickup in the tack. Sounds like this is sucking up debris, probably rust, take the tank down and let us know what you find.
  3. Motor and tranny mounts are done. Motor plumbed with ARE dry sump and all under hood wiring is done. Getting close.

    plumbed and wired
  5. I've got the band covered. Kids on the drums and wife on the keyboard. It's really loud here sometimes.
  6. Come any time, as long as you drive your Z. I can't wait to see that one.
  7. You would definantly have to came here because NOTHING runs.
  8. I've got a set of the TC rods. They are a VERY nice part.
  9. I think that part is just a T. I would look at your calipers first.
  10. If you are using the LS-1 you need to get the JCI kit. If you are using an LT-1 or older V8 get the JTR kit.
  11. meitzer makes one that is supposedly good for the street. I've got one on my dedicated track car. Yet to be ran. I spoke with one of the tech's there and he told me this pump would work for my application. We'll see.
  12. Hard to tell how much is there because of the angle of the pic. That side of the motor will lift so I don't think a huge amount would be needed. I do remember thinking the alt. was close with the JCI kit. I'm thinking about 1.5 inches if I remember correctly. (a big if these days) Hope that helps.
  13. I had similar problems with my lt-1 in the Z. I eventually went to a surge tank and second pump to feed it and the fuel starvation problems were solved. I tired a fuel cell with a sump and foam but on the track with less that half a tank, I had problems. I don't know how the 280 tank is baffled but I would be supprised if it was baffled enough to solve you problem. As for the fumes, if you vent the tank straight to the atmosphere, try to run the line higher than the tank with a loop in the line and then the opening back to the level or below the level of the tank. This helped with fumes from my cell but did not totally solve the problem.
  14. John, Glad to hear you had a great day. Hope the car ran well. Sounds like it did. Just one question, what is Roddy driving, a jet?
  15. John, I wish I was there too! Be careful. I had an M3 hit the tire wall right in front of me in about the same place. He rolled the car back on the track right in front of me. New shorts for everyone! Mark
  16. I've ran the kuhmo victor racers on the street. You won't get 10k miles on them but they are very fun on the street and a great track tire for the money. If you were to run them on the street only with no auto X or track days I would bet you could get 5K miles on them. Mark
  17. I also like tire rack for there prices and shippping. However, most of the tire places around here will not mount tires unless you bought them there. I need to find some one local that will do it for a reasonable cost. Last time I used tire rack, I found a place here to do it but they charged me $20 per tire. OUCH
  18. Looking foward to seeing it in person. Looks great!
  19. How do you steer the thing and how do you see where you are going? Always love those!
  20. Sweet wheels. You could make a few dollars reselling those to guys in the US. Very nice looking wheel.
