  1. I hear nitro glycerin is pretty powerful. Just kidding guys.
  2. Slacking in Mexico, heh? Meanwhile the orphan Z is lonely, no progress being made. Just kidding, Doc. After that road trip to Louisiana, some slacking is indeed very deserved! You see any Z's down there?
  3. So, I am out in the garage, door open, "wrenching" on my Z. I have my Hybrid Z pinks shirt on as well as my Datsun Z hat. This older guy walking his dog, stops for a minute and says " nice old Jaguar you got there". I reply "thanks sir but it is a Datsun 280Z". He notices my attire and the emblems on the Z, " Oh, I guess it is a Z car". I guess the Z does look like the old early 60's Jag, long nose, you know the one.
  4. Actually, it was about 65 mph. The poor old p.o.s. L24 boat anchor wouldn't go any faster! LOL!
  5. I got my Dad one of these @ wal-mart for .50. It was a joke gift for his Bday last week. It was the '74 AMC Gremlin, he absolutely loved it. The Gremlin he used to drive was ugly dull yellow, with brown stripes.
  6. The 1/4 panel was bent by the tire tread departing at highway speed.
  7. I am sorry also about the Z. Thankfully it was the Z that got burned and not your girl. Although it is not Z related, I know the feeling, I watched our family home burn to the ground when I was 15. Good luck on getting the Z road worthy.
  8. The last time I saw the Z in person was October, 2003. It had a small hole in the driver's floor, a little rust around the gas door, a little on the hatch, and a little on the passenger rocker panel. The person who graciously allowed me to store it all this time reports that it is in about the same condition as I last saw it. I am most happy that the Doc is going to put it to good use. I hope his son will have many enjoyable drives in the Z. Thanks for rescuing the orphan, Doc. Jason
  9. Yeah, those wheels are cool. Probably $$$ though.
  10. One of my Dad's saying, "them there are ours". He also says the warshing thing.
  11. I must admit that I don't know much about elec cars, but I find this build very intersting. At first the idea didn't appeal to me, but as the build progressed, what a simply awesome project.
  12. I agree with the admins 110%!
  13. I am guilty of the above^. Calling it a MAF, now I know better.
  14. Roostmonkey, once again, You are da' man, with da' skillz! A very nice piece indeed.
  15. I think you have some good ideas. Although for my taste, there are too many hood vents, and the front air dam is a bit "ricey". Please continue your ideas and designs, this should be very interesting. Good luck!
  16. A very unique swap indeed! Please keep all of us posted on your swap. very interesting.
  17. I am glad to see you didn't sell the Z. I can't wait to see how it will run with the turbo setup. BTW, nice pics on the billboard.
  18. 11:40 pm, mountain time , where are the pics? I just gotta see this.
  19. Any other thoughts/ideas/suggestions/etc.? Let me hear them guys, good, bad, or otherwise. Thanks in advance. Jason
  20. Where are you buying your parts? I used to work for Pep Boys, and we had alot of problems with hydraulic parts.
  21. The safe haven organization I want to join http://www.coloradosafehavenfornewborns.org/index.php The few words that I read which made me decide to join: Won't you please think about how you will feel the next time an infant is turned in, knowing you helped save it's life? You might also think how you will feel the next time a dead infant is found in a dumpster, knowing you might have helped save it's life. I don't know about the rest of you, but that sure made me think.
  22. Thanks again for the comments guys. We have doing research and read lots of info and still don't know where to start, LOL! Maybe it would be easier to build a clone of the space shuttle, or find a rust free Z LOL! I am still trying to decide if we should tell my parents or not, maybe we will find out more first.
