  1. I remember reading the article on this car. I don't know the size of the turbos, but they were desinged for sub-2 liter diesel engines.
  2. A legend is gone, very sad indeed! I feel for his family.
  3. or in the words of Clarence Carter........"strokin"! Lol! And Mikelly as Sally the porsche....now that's funny right there!
  4. You might try this link.....http://www.rustrepair.com/repair_panels/onlinecat.htm?r=ru&p=sm I don't know if they are related to tabco or not. Good luck!
  5. In my first Z, a raggedy '73, fiberglass front end, lots of rust throughout, but had a peformance cam, head work, etc. I drove it up to 135 mph, at least that is what the speedo read. Thinking about this circa 1989, senior year high school, where has the time gone? LOL!
  6. This is a little strange, I just bought a '78 280Z, minimal rust, great interior, all original, great bumpers, wiring, etc. Same color inside and out! Although the paint is not as nice as yours.
  7. Some guy told me today that a '90 Infiniti M30 uses the same bearing in the diff. I don't know if this is true, if so, might be easier to find. Good luck.
  8. Some guy told me today that a '90 Infiniti M30 uses the same bearing in the diff. I don't know if this is true, if so, might be easier to find. Good luck.
  9. I found this bearing on napaonline, typed in the application for a '78 280Z and got this result. Hopefully this helps you. Good luck. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=470&LineCode=BRG&PartNumber=BR32307&Description=Pinion+Bearing+-+Rear+Axle
  10. And I thought I had made a great "discovery". Oh well, maybe one day I will contribute something worthy to the site.
  11. You could try to pm the guy from JTR, MikeJtr. He is a member here . Good luck!
  12. Hey guys, I have a downloaded copy of a Datsun fuel injection manual. It looks to be quite informative. Titled "Datsun fuel injection, theory and troubleshooting". It's a sizeable pdf file which I don't want to post without an admins approval. If anyone thinks this might be helpful or you are just interested in looking, p.m. your email addy to me and I'll send you a copy. It includes numerous pic/wiring/vaccum diagrams Jason Admins, please move this post if I have not put it in the proper place.
  13. The parts in question are available from our own resident member "Siliconeboy". J/K, that is an interesting "cargo" !
  14. LOL!LOL!LOL! Too funny! Blue pills or not, like Clarence Carter, he is "strokin"! Happy birthday Larry!
  15. These are all great videos, but some of my favorites are from Mr. Hanns, a.k.a. Turbomeister here on the site. I am luck enough to have a copy of his build up/racing dvd.
  16. You might want to check out http://www.ls1tech.com In the conversions & hybrids section there are quite a few SBC and LS1 swaps done or under construction. Good luck!
  17. Today I got the new MSA mini-catalog in the mail and I was excited to check it out. Things were going great, until I turned to page #5. There in the middle of the page, they are offering "lambo" style door kits!!! Arrrrgh!! Lambo doors are fine for some vehicles, but not an S30 Z, IMO. Anyway, I am just curious if the rest of you find this to be a rediculous thing for a Z, or maybe you like it. Please post your opinions. Jason
  18. Yes! Happy b-day to HybridZ! The premier Z site, bar none! Kudos to Dan and all of the admins!
  19. It just neees a turbo for 500 h.p. Insane indeed!
  20. Well, my DD is a bone stock, (down to the original hubcaps) 1991 Dodge Dakota 4X4, 3.9 V6, 5spd. Our other hooptie is a 1992 Honda Accord, complete with clicking c/v shaft and leaking oil......lol!
  21. I asked terry to find me a couple of items from Japan a while back. He found them both in short order, had the items packed well and shipped to me promptly. I absolutely would not hesitate to deal with him again. The guy is a class act. Now if I could just get him to sell me his BBC Z.............lol!
  22. You have got to Hybrid the wagon of course! Just imagine for a moment, an early 70's Cadillac 500 c.i. engine with transaxle mounted in the rear of the wagon. It has been done in the rear of a VW bug, so it should fit in a 510. Anyway, nice project you have there. Good luck.
