  1. Would that be the best option if you were wanting to inspect/disassemble all suspension components? This is how I suspended the rear of my shiro in order to remove the entire suspension and differential.
  2. I used a Harbor Freight set on my z31. The dies and taps were fine. The tap wrench was junk.

  4. Hey that's good work Mr BRAAP Note to snell1884...when you use that button, before making your post please right click on the images in the quote and hit "cut".
  5. Hey aplyedmind...check the dates before replying
  6. From recent personal experience I can tell you there is a lot more info than that out there.
  7. Exactly. Keep moving up the chain of command if that's what it takes. A trucker ran into me at a stoplight several years ago. Not much damage but it doesn't take much to total a car. The claims adjuster offered me $2300. Bluebook value was $3000. I refused the initial offer and started working my way up the chain. I got $3000 and the car with no change in the title. I probably could have gotten much more. BTW that's a good looking car. And you must really like MSA. And they must really like you
  8. Reduced for quick sale: http://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/1487835223.html You should have seen the price on it 6 months ago.
  9. I'd definitely think about the SATAN turbo relocation if a turbo x-member is one of the parts you can't find. With a $5000 budget I'd put the NA back together, sell it, and buy a nice z31 turbo to modify. Or keep the NA and buy a z31 turbo. You should be able to find a nice one in the $3000 range.
  10. I've owned an s130 turbo, s130 NA, two z31 turbo's, and now an s30. Generally the z31 turbo is easily the best bang for the buck. And the car was a technological advancement over previous models.
  11. Looks like 240Zed and flatblack already helped you solve your problem but just out of curiosity do you still have your POV installed? If so that that makes me feel much better about running all those years w/ mine plugged
  12. GN yes. Eclipse no...for the reasons a previous poster mentioned. The easiest way if you're doing this yourself is to have a stock z31 t3 rebuilt as a t3/t4. Obviously you need much more than just a turbo and an ic. As flatblack280 said... look for a complete setup. Even better would be a 84-87 z31 turbo parts car.
  13. From the engine bay?See if there is something here that helps: http://67.18.219.83/image_hosting/web_pages/Mike88se/images/ss/may08/
  14. If the exhaust tip was sticking out about 3 feet it was mine lol. Mine wasn't picked up til the 18th though so maybe not. I checked out 2 or 3 cars in the Austin area but they were all wrong for one reason or another. One had a 305 w/ a powerglide, one was too expensive, etc. Most of the z's I saw in Texas were too expensive. I'm going to stop there so this guy's post doesn't get completely jacked.
  15. I followed the thread mchong75 posted on another board. My silver 240z was in transit around that time so his post really got my attention My car arrived with no damages despite having very little ground clearance and a front airdam. I had a great driver though. Delivered the car right to my driveway. The guy's name was Vasily. Young guy who immigrated from Russia. Chatted with him for about 45 minutes. Loves America. He told me to call him directly if I ever needed another car shipped. His company is called Express Auto Shipping, not to be confused with Direct Express Auto Transport, the company that acted as the broker. The only thing they did well was assign my car to a good trucker. Completely opposite to the way my other car shipping experience worked out. In that one the trucker was a...well not very good, but the broker had decent customer service. In that move the PO had to load the car on the trailer and I had to unload it because the trucker was just incompetent. Maybe there should be a thread with car shipping stories? Anyway to the OP, like I said on the other thread...what they did to your car sux and I hope they make it right.
  16. I've got the old stock wood steering wheel on my '73. It's almost like a truck steering wheel. I'd rather have something more grippy and a little smaller in diameter. Are there any smaller grippier wheels that don't require a hub?
  17. I've seen your site before and I looked over your inventory but I didn't see one listed. I've got a line on a bracket but you may have some other parts I might need. Thanks. BTW I was trying to buy an L28et drivetrain from a guy in Cedar Park who posted an ad on CL. After I thought we had a deal worked out he stopped responding. Was that you?
  18. 85 degrees the way god intended...yes!
  19. That's it. If you have one that you're not too fond of let me know.
  20. AZ Turbo & Tractor Supply, INC. 1-888-253-9950 Great shop.
  21. I thought you said hunting? That sounds more like an ambush
  22. Is this you riding shotgun in this guy's vid? Definitely sounds like a Big Phil laugh after the cop said "park it"...
