well it turns out it is this airdam http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7FAD/50-1413 so I'm not sure if any reproducers would be interested in a part that's still readily availible... but like I said. I've got this one

PiCS I'll have to look to see what a fair market value actually is before I price it, and i'd honestly rather see someone who does reproductions, that way more of us Z guys can get their hands on them... I'd be willing to work with someone for some trading on that note, as I'd LOVE to see *and have* a duplicate copy of my actual ZXR wing, since no one is currently making them.

I've just picked up the Xenon airdam *JUNKYARD SCORE* its not exactly the same peice, the one on this race car has rectangular indents through the center, the Xenon does not, but does have the ducting... I'll get pictures up after lunch. I'd be willing to sell if anyone's interested

Pullapart has an '83 mostly there in decent shape but the t-tops are missing. also have an 82 I think, wasnt payin much attention. that theres not much left of, probably the one chad was talkin about, I just got back from there

I confirmed that the day the documentation was uploaded lol. if theres anything else I can help you with let me know... though pics of mine are not a great example... the 10 or so years it sat in the junkyard sun where not kind to the stripes... they no longer even appear the correct colors (inside the doorjams are indeed correct) and the rust is yet to be fixed... but thats coming soon..... very soon

aerodynamics kick in, when the bumper that used to deflect air over the hood*and weigh the nose down* is removed ALOT more air gets into the engine bay than the car was ever desighned for and will generate quite a bit of lift on the nose. floaty is indeed the correct term as thats exactly what the car tries to do in that sit.

there is now a ZXR in the registry and in the morning I'll snap a pic of the number in the console for ya so you can add photodocumentation for your ZXR info page. and when I got my wing from Nissan (original had been jacked while the car sat in the scrapyard) it did not have replacement lift struts, not sure if thats accurate or not, but o well...

sound like around here... so long as your lights work correctly and your not spraying down the road, you can get away with just about anything... when I took my Int'l scout to be registered I had NO glass in the vehicle WHATSOEVER, and bassically open manifold exhausts, and no seat belts... the only thing they asked was for me to hit the lights... lol

14.2 N/a, with hot cam, headers and straight pipe. unknown what elese had been done to that engine (former SCCA racer's engine) also hot wired cold start injector to fire in batch just to get enough fuel to feed it with the camshaft, haggard but solved alot of issues at the time... I know some of you turbo junkies have been quite a bit quicker.

'78 intermittently loses fire on 1&2
ZXR_KiD replied to ZXR_KiD's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
never made it out there, have run the correct '78 tests now that I've found an actual '78 FSM... still no fails... got brave and pulled the injectors out WHILE it was running *during its stumbling phase* everything squirts at proper flow and pressure, found a '78 ECU cheap that I'm awaiting the arrival of. but no good news yet. -

yea we ran a volt meter through every wire from the injectors/maf/coil/ and ecu harness today, can't find anything out of the ordinary... the injectors still fire fuel even when there's no fire, pulled the valve cover to check lifters and springs and nothing visibly wrong in any of them... next step I guess will be pulling the head and checking... sux that '78s are an oddball year on their elecrtrical -

I always thought those flares looked more like beetle fenders than Z fenders... something about the shape of them never seemed quite right to me...

the single ball style is VERY similar to the factory map light in the S-130s... GREAT find for someone who is missing theirs, or wants a custom appearance... may look into the brushed aluminum myself.

after looking again it looks like one I've seen in the junkyard (badly broken though) the car had xenon stickers all over the windsheild , may be one of their airdams... honestly not sure though.. I know the one xenon currently has does not have the same angle as the one pictured, but I recall the junkyard car had a very nice slope

OK car runs great when it runs right, but once the car warms up it fumbles off, sometimes worse than others, usually bad enough I end up sittin on the side of the road till it clears... when it fumbles real bad I can unplug the chts wires and it will temproarily clear and will run fine for another few minutes even after being pluged in. we've discovered when it fumbles you can unhook the plug wires from both #1 and #2 and it makes ZERO difference, no fall off or anything; checked the plugs wires and injectors and everything continues to function properly. I've already replaced the chts and its connectors, as well as the #1& 2 injectors (for giggles and grins really) and nothing seems to help. coil has been swapped with known good coil, as has the dizzy and MAF... after it clears up after unplugging the chts when you pull the plug wires from #1 and or 2 it stumbles as it should. I've been fighting this issue since I've got the car and haven't been able to figure anything out to get it right. anyone who has ANY ideas that I havn't thought of would be GREATLY appriciated. Oh, and just to clear it up before its sugguested I have already dropped the tank and cleaned the ever living heck out of it, as well as completly flushed the lines and fuel rail, and replaced the filters. the only thing I can think of left to try is finding another '78 ECU

280-ZX, which models received R-180's vs R-200's?
ZXR_KiD replied to FiveSeventyZee's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
makes you wonder if the FSMs werent completly correct, as stated earlier, the '79 2+2 automatic I had was an R-200 car, we purchased it from the original owner with a stack of receipts for what would have to have been every bit of work done to the car, every oil change, tie-rod, even tires and replacement lugnuts and alighnments had receipts for them, nothing mentioned anything other than a fluid change in the rear end not saying its not possible, but it seems unlikely the diff was changed with records like that. -
280-ZX, which models received R-180's vs R-200's?
ZXR_KiD replied to FiveSeventyZee's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
I'm not sure that list is entirely accurate, my '79 AUto 2+2 was an R-200 car. my '79 ZXR 5spd is indeed an R-180 car. the other car I've had was a '79 with an 83 turbo swap and an R-200, I did not put the swap together so I'm not sure what equipment actually came with what... I know the 5spd was the standard 5spd... not the T-5 but the car was originally an automatic car... who knows if the diff was to that car or not... I was under the impression that all the 2+2s where R-200 cars, the 2 that I've had my hands on both where, and I can't say I've taken the time to look at the rear ends in the junkyard 2+2s I've seen -
much love to the box! I've been keeping my eyes out for one in decent shape myself, plan to make one heck of a DD out of it if I can find one...

contact EvilDky, he had a VERY similar 3 peice spoiler that was too tall for any of our local's tastes he may still have it and be willing to part with it. it was in very good shape and as I recall had remenances of a "Scarab" badge or sticker on it, but I'm not sure on the make of the peice
