  1. I never thought I'd ever see anygood use for anything off an H2 but those looks sweet in there... honestly tho... as is I don't like the hatch glass but with paint I'll probably change my mind.
  2. I know Arizona Z used to make the earlier (boxed type) flare set but they sold their molds and I don't know who bought them... The wing is a "ZXR Wing kit" as on the street 280ZXRs but good luck finding one... they've been discontinued and I bought the last one Nissan had left... supposedly someone is replicating them but I don't know who... if anyone finds who would be making the later kit (rolled flares) I'd be very happy...
  3. I wouldn't suppose you could try flagging down the beatup one and ask if he'd part with the wing, would you? I have been told that Nissan motorsports has 6 of them left but I can't seem to get ahold of them, I think the # I have is no-good, anyone have a correct number? BTW,ice, what headlight covers are those on yours, they seem to fit so perfect.... I have a pair of GTO covers but the fit is terrible so I havn't installed them
  4. http://zhome.com/History/ZXR.htm sorry I thought I had posted that with the original post. I know the MSA Turbo whale tail is similar, could be modified to look real close, however the real ZXR wing is rubber not fiberglass, granted the glass is lighter I'm going for authenticity if possible
  5. I've posted here before about this without much luck, now I'm starting to get desperate. over a year ago now I saved a ZXR from a local Ky, junkyard. been mostly repaired however, the wing is missing. I am to the point now where I am working out the last body kinks when suddenly the wingkit has been discontinued. I need help finding one. if anyone knows where one might be located or has one they'd be willing to part with please help.
  6. OK guys this goes for both coupe and 2+2.... bout $120 cut where needed and they'll do the cutting... they only have 1 or 2 decently preserved coupes but they have several clean 2+2s
  7. there is a junkyard right across the river from here called Marshall's they have about 15 s-130s (several 2+2s aswell).... most have decent bodies... I am going to ask about a lft side for my ZXR but I can ask about cost for a pair too... and wich side is needed for that 2+2? I'm goin there 2-marrow so I can post in the afternoon if I find out n e thing
  8. I think i have to agree that the kit looks like a smoother flowing automobile... altho personally I would stay awayfrom the sunroof... the closing of the vents I think would look simply awesome
  9. all the body parts on the 83 are the same with the exception of the bumpers... they are interchangeable but they have cosmetic differences. the 79 looks like the bumpers on the 280Z with the bulky black and chrome look while the 83 has a different covering that is colored to better blend with the body.
  10. I'd say that an MG would be the best guess... and yes very good job with the metalwork... I'd go pick it up and finish it if I had the room/money for it.
  11. where'd ya find that R???? looks good... as a ZXR owner I have thought about building a black race car and using the ZXR stripes, I think it looks sweet... if you want more angles to play around with let me know and I can go shoot some of mine.
  12. she's really not bad lookin for a 2+2... I definatly would not have gone with a standing wing tho... a nice lip from MSA would be a much better choice IMO. metallic green would probably be a decent choice, altho I think the current blue would be the best.
  13. ummmmm.... well I guess I have to say that that's the cheapest door modification I think I've ever seen (that still functioned anyway) and I kinda like the angle they open... more of a gullwing than a scissor door. PS. has anyone elese noticed the double mirror? I guess he found a new way to releive blind spots.
  14. any chance you could get out the good ole Saws All and hack the lft rear quarter off with a reasonable price? ... I just need the outer metal not the internal... my ZXR has a nasty umm, lets use ding to describe it...
  15. Either the actual car with new paint or one bodied just like it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2491616148&category=6187 thought some of you might like to see this one.
  16. Already did... he won't seperate his set of stripes from the car thanx for lookin tho.
  17. ya I know I'm a little late on this post... Everything has been eliminated leaving that FPR,( yea yea bring out the "I told ya so's) EvilD, do you have a spare lyin around for the N/A or does anyone know if the turbo FPR would work? Next Q: if so, how much would you want for it?
  18. Oddly enough I saw something VERY similar to this last night on the freeway through Louisville... the one I saw was looked like just a white peterbuilt with a small sleeper cab and single rear axle with what looked like a chevrolet 3500 dually bed stuck onto the back with extensions on the bottom of the bed to make it look lower. maybe it was one of these CXTs or just someones custom rig.
  19. ahhh, thought it looked a little smaller than a 510... either way I didn't know they ran 510s in the T/A divisions. thanks for clearin that up for me.
  20. if any one is still looking for one, contact Mrgrimm (a newbie on the site) he has one sittin in his garage, it's white with the 4 spd. I think he wants a little too much for it IMO
  21. I've seen the one of the MR2 going into the parking lot before the alarm you hear in the background is that of an at the time 2 day old EVO that got punted across the parkinglot. , and I've actually seen that firebird with the ladderbar and junk on the hood... the owner told me he had the car layin in a feild and his kids took metal and JB weld and started makin this weird contraption, so he got it to a condition where it will move and it's his joke showpeice... or so he says... anyway... that was pretty hysterical... love the shot of the car doin donuts then drives straight toward the cop... the car blowing by the limo and losin it was great too... time to watch it again.
  22. is that a real car or just someones idea of a joke? it resembles a toyota echo with a stretched hood and murano grill in the 1st pic. the second doesn't look TOOOOOOOOooo terribly bad... kinda like a messed up Crossfire. I could see them making it but it REALLY doesn't deserve the Silvia name (maybe not even the NISSAN name). and is that a split/non-removable sunroof??? whose the genius that deserves to be jobless behind that one...
  23. I lived in Memphis Tn for a number of years and... yup if there's white stuff in the air ppl can't drive... weather it's iced yet or not... I guess the beauty of it was that if it even flurried lightly school was canceled, and having spent many years in IND and Ohio my family knew how to get around in the snow.... so after about 3 hrs of flurries the roads are either empty cause everyone is walking cause they are scared of driving, or there are the remains from accidents sitting abandoned on the shoulder... kinda funny down there too... walking to school a couple times be about 40degrees wearing a light jacket, t-shirt and jeans, everyone elese would be wearing 2 sometimes 3 full WINTER coats and snow pants, shivering "a-a-ar-ar-ar-aren't y-y-y-you-c-c-c-cold????"... guess thats what happens when people stay in one climate all their lives.
  24. the ONE pic I really want to see detailed it won't load... I cant tell by the thumbnail but is there a pic of a blue AUTO UNION formula car(aka the first mid engine open wheeler)? and is this a Hillman Imp? http://www.middleyear911.com/lrpvintage03/racing/pages/DSCF0073.htm and what is it doing in a feild of vintage T/As... just looks funny out there. where was this and when are they doing it again?!?!? please tell me if you know... I want to go... PS is it considerd uncommon for an 18 yr old to ID 90% of these vintage cars? only ones I can't pin are those Can-AM cars... I just can't find anyone with Can-AM coverage on any kind of video or even magazines ... I wish there were more pics of some of the GTP cars that I caught glimpses of.
  25. I honestly don't know how the Z3 seats are made as far as bracings and mounts. but personally I would take the bottom of the seat apart and cut an in. or so out of the bottom of the springs then re-attatch everything, thus creating a lower sit... altho now that I think about it that would affect the alighnment of your back and the shape of the seat back. if you took some pictures of the bottom of the Z3 seat I might be able to evaluate a better solution. or perhaps...(note this is just a thought) visually the rear mounts add no structural support (I could be wrong) however the front is definatly a supporting beam... IF you cut holes (wide enough for your mount tracks), installed the seats, then welded cross bars over the holes (over top of the mount tracks) it would probably hold structural integrity. but I recommend serious consideration before you cut into the car. PS. do you have any plans for those seats, I know some one who would be interested in purchasing them if you want to part with them...
