  3. I'm interested in this as well. There is some useful RB general info in the sticky at the top of this forum, but then it gets blurry on some of the details, like if something applies just to the RB26 or to both. I'm particularly interested in the RB25DET Neo (R34). Though I'm into performance, I also care about stuff like gas mileage and emissions. And supposedly the Neo engines put out significantly less emissions while retaining high power output.
  4. Can anyone clarify if Modern Motorsports actually makes complete CV axles, or if he's just making a kit to swap OEM 280ZX CV axles into U-jointed cars?
  5. Does that grease need to be refined somehow first, or do you just dump it straight from the fryer to the car?
  6. How's the VG swap into a 280ZX? I heard it's a real PITA because of the width, so I don't know if that means it's not practical to fit it in or not, or if it will be impossible to work on due to width and tight clearances.
  7. I thought coilovers only adjust the height. How does that bring the tire in?
  8. I've seen in catalogs some kind paint/marker to paint in the letters of a regular, black tire. I don't know how well the stuff stays though, or if it's just as good as the factory white letters.
  9. Is there any benefit to having the pump in-tank vs. external? Like, is it "safer" to have the pump in-tank or something?
  10. If you increase the boost, wouldn't that make you run lean? Or is the 20+year old ECU able to compensate to a certain point?
  11. Currently in CA, our pump gas is available in 87, 89, and 91. Has it always been this way, or was it different 20-30 years ago? Did our "Regular" used to be "Premium" back then?

  14. What kind of pump fittings am I supposed to get? Oh, when I change the pump, am I going to get gasoline all over the place?
  15. I've only recently heard about the R34's Rb25DET Neo engine. Since it's clutch is hard to replace, do you know if the R33's RWD tranny will bolt right up to the RB25 Neo engine?
  16. The previous owner of my 280ZX had installed leather RX7 seats, and they fit pretty well. However, I switched to some Recaros, which ended up being a tad wide (the door armrest is in contact with the seat).
  17. I read it has an electronically controlled throttle body ("drive-by-wire" I guess), so how's that going to work with the ol' cable throttle pedal? If it's retrofit with a cable throttle body, I'm thinking if it might mess with the ECU.
  18. Hey thanks for finding it Sven! I'd almost forgotten about this! I just hope the stuff they sell can be made to fit on a 280ZX. And cameron, I can't wait to see the pics and info you come up with!
  19. Can you tell me if the RB25 automatic was just a regular 4-spd, or did it have a Sportshift/Tiptronic feature?
