  1. I'm planning on a 2006 Mazda3 5-dr for my daily driver. 160 hp with very decent gas mileage. Some excellent options too, like HID, Sportshift tranny, etc. and at a price under $20k
  2. From the opening of the Wangan PS2 game, the Devil Z makes a distinctive BOV noise (kind of a fluttering noise) that I've also heard on the JGTC Cusco Impreza. Can anyone identify what brand of BOV it is?
  3. Where can one get foam filler? I once worked at a shipping place that had this big machine that would shoot a hot liquid that quickly expanded and hardened. Too bad I don't work there anymore, so I no longer have access to something like that.
  4. Any suggestions for just such an efficient T3/T4 turbo? (brand-wise that is)
  5. Had the law changed? I haven't been to a strip joint in several years, but the last time I had (San Fran.), I was able to touch above the waist.
  6. Plus, conveniently, there's a junkyard about a mile down the street too.
  7. Hmm, I'd be interested in a Euro/JDM 280ZX Front bumper as well...
  8. I have a stock '82 280ZXT and I also notice what may be similar symptoms in 1st, and part of 2nd, gears. I have not had my A/F ratio checked though.
  9. Seems like this could tie into the thread about CA's crackdown on modified vehicles: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=103403 What kind of worries me when going into an inspection is whether the presence of an intercooler or aftermarket (Pallnet) fuel rail on my 280ZXT will mean an automatic failure/hassle.
  10. What kind of spots do you need to grind down? Is it something around the flange, the interior, etc? I'm interested in finding out about the fitment once you get it in too ('82 280ZX)
  11. The first Freeway Speedway was made in the late 80's (hence, why all the cars in it are older). The main character drives an R30 Skyline. Other than the 280ZX and R30 Skyline, there's this cop's personal car (some kind of Euro car I think). It's an ok movie, which has its moments. The car race/chase scenes are nothing special (they're just on a freeway after all), but the later Freeway Speedway movies look even more exciting. Being more recent, many of the cars used are the typical Japanese high end sports cars like the Supra, FD RX7, R32-up Skylines, and I think even the Z32. (the first DVD contains trailers for the later ones). The racing scenes shown in the later DVD's look much more dynamic and have more varied locales (ie off-road, mountain passes, etc.)
  12. If you don't have one already, you're going to need a tach adapter, available from either MSD or Crane (same part #'s). Costs about $25 or so.
  13. I don't have any way to make copies of DVD's. I got mine from my local Japantown video store. I'm sure it could also be found on Ebay too. Here's an auction for one right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/FREEWAY-SPEEDWAY-1-WS-SUB-DVD-NEW_W0QQitemZ6415720918QQcategoryZ617QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Doesn't Ground Control make coilovers for the 280ZX too? Or is it only for the Z's?
  15. Motorcycles are held to a higher noise standard than cars (about 10db higher than the car standard if I recall correctly). Though I agree, the noise they generate is more obnoxious than most cars.
  16. So just where would one be able to get one of those 2.5", 2x 45-degree bend, downpipes...? I saw a groupbuy thread but nothing seemed to have come of it.
  17. I have no idea what this thread is about, but I like Wangan Midnight, so I'd be down for getting a digital copy of whatever this is.
  18. I have not yet done anything with my '82's rear brakes. What is it I should know about them??
  19. Can someone clarify something for me? Does a 3.54 diff mean that for a given speed, that the rpms are slightly lower than a car with a 3.9?
  20. I get the general concensus that a Rising Rate FPR is a pretty good mod, especially to help out with fuel delivery in the higher rpms. What I'm wondering is, if I go with a standalone, like Megasquirt, would a RR FPR no longer be necessary since the standalone is also controlling fuel delivery (presumably by keeping the injectors open longer)? Specifically, I'm thinking in terms of a mildly modded L28ET. Or would the stock Turbo injectors still not be able to keep up with fuel delivery at higher rpm unless fuel pressure were higher?
  21. It was just something I read around the forums somewhere. I'm curious if anyone can verify also. Either way, Nismo or Fuji/Subaru, it's all good.
