  1. Good lord! It's almost hypnotic.. O_O
  2. Heh, reminds me of one of my previous corporate jobs, where we were notified that the higher ups had given the money intended for our big annual Christmas party (something highly looked forward to) to charity, "on our behalf"! WTF was that?? I'm as much for charity as the next guy, but it would've been nice if we'd at least been polled/asked, especially since everyone busts their butt all year.
  3. Poor lil guy looks all sad and lonely out there.
  4. Heh, I can't wait for them to go in for their smog check and the tester's all like, "How the f__ am I supposed to put the tailpipe sensor in....?"
  5. I heard aftermarket downpipes were a tight fit on 280ZX's with the B/W tranny. Will this fit ok?
  6. If 2x 45-degree angles @ 3" won't fit on a 280ZXT w/B/W tranny, will a 2.5" one fit?
  7. I wonder if we could rig up a remote oil filter kit to a cartridge setup like this?
  8. But that doesn't do anything except save the link. I want the actual file, not a link to the online file.
  9. Jake (Apollo) frequently organizes Z meets in the East Bay and uses craigslist.org and zdriver.com to get the word out.
  10. I wonder how much it'd cost; i mean, there's not a whole of "car" to it. More like a big go-kart. Though I don't see how they'd possibly pass being street legal in the US for all manner of safety reasons.
  11. I just picked me up a '06 Mazda3 5-door this weekend. Got it for $400 below invoice. ^__^ Very pleased with the service I received from Oakland Mazda. So looks like I'm at least the 2nd Bay Area Z guy to get a Mazda3.
  12. Haha, that's great. I wish I could figure a way to save that to my computer.
  13. It wasn't a "time vortex", it was "Fry Hole". =P
  14. OMG, I had virtually the same problem! One day I was on the freeway just going straight, when I hear a clunk, like something metallic bouncing off the underside of my car. Everything seemed fine until I stepped on the brakes, then the car pulled to one side! It turned out that one of the tension rods on my '82 had somehow snapped! (dunno if the urethane bushings killed it) The metallic thunk was the big tension rod washer bouncing off my undercarriage. So the problem in my case wasn't the brakes, but just that rod.
  15. I'm surprised they put all that work into the exterior and yet still kept the stock drab grey interior.
  16. Crap, I've been wanting a flywheel for my '82 Turbo, but it's just coming out of the body shop, so I've got a paint bill to foot.
  17. I had a good experience when I walked in Broadway Mazda in Oakland, CA recently. I only went in to find out when the '06 Mazda3's were going to be available. The salesman took me to the internet/fleet sales manager and we chitchatted a bit about the '06's. He was a car enthusiast too and he leveled with me, saying that most everyone already knows about the invoice prices (the "secret" everyone knows), so he said whichever model I wanted, he'd do $500 *under* invoice. Now, I'm sure there's the usual fees on top of that, but it'd still end up around invoice price without having to twist an arm and a leg to get it. So now that I have an offer to work with, I'll probably check some other dealers and see what they can do in comparison. But all things being equal, I would of course give my business to that guy who gave me good customer service.
  18. I saw some at Infineon Raceway once. They gave the impression of a big go-kart, with all the fun and fragility that go with that.
  19. Of course the priority is to save human lives down there. But I don't think it's wrong to think of saving Z's too.
  20. I was rather surprised when I saw an S13 in a parking lot that had 280ZX wheels. I guess this explains that. I'll have a set available in the near future (as soon as I get some new wheels myself).
  21. I don't suppose they make one of these for the R200, huh...(this cheap, that is)
