I spoke to that guy when he first listed the car, I have been watching it and it seems like a "friend" maybe bidding it up. The reserve on the car was a $1000 and that car is in rough rough shape. I told him that car was basically a parts car to someone looking to do a RHD swap. That car was sitting in a junk yard for years, titled as 70 car, tail lights are not too clean, 40's webers, rallye clock and a few other good parts. I can't see someone buying it for $1000 or more and trying to fix it but who knows....hope it ends up in good hands!

I figured thats why the mirrors were on the car.

Well post some pics, and let us see. Since you got it that cheap, maybe you should let it go. You can make a few thousand dollars and have it goes towards your swap. I am not sure if you have priced out the LS1 swap and whatever else you plan to do with the car but double your budget and tripple the time. Personally, if I can do it again....I would start from a clean running car even though I still love me car now...lol Clive

When you make that kind of statement, do you mean get someone that will pay 20k? Say this Z is as clean as he is telling us, why wouldn't it be worth maybe 4-7k as a fair price? Plus who knows if he is the "dumbass" you are talking about! I see the point you were trying to make but I think a poor selection of words. XCYTER- If you paid "cheap" or "stole" this car and can see yourself making 2k on the deal, maybe you sell it. If you car looking for more of a headache and turning wrenches....you can start with a clean shell and build from there. What is your end goal with this car with the V8? If you take a look back, I bought a very clean 260z with 33k for dirt cheap. I wanted to do the LS1 in it but I thought it was way to clean of a car for what I wanted to do. I sold the car and make a fcouple thousand and threw the money in my 240z/LS1. If I wanted more of a clean/street car...I would have done the swap in it. Clive

I will be honest with you......SELL IT/SCRAP IT. Quite while you are ahead, if you are up in the Albany area....I can give you some contact info for the Z club up that way. Might be a car in better shape for a decent price. That car you have will take hours on hours and money that will be wasted, trust me. Let me know if you would like to speak about that via phone. Replacement panels are not cheap at all, so look to save your money for a clean shell. Clive

I agree with you 100%! I love to learn about the history about our Z cars and when I saw these flares in person a few months ago, I knew it would sell for big money to the right people and for those who know the history. I would def pay the right price for any NOS/Rare part if needed for a resto or replica car. Some of us have to realize that some of these parts we sell on Ebay never pop up twice in a lifetime. Some of the buyers of these parts are older than I am (23) and waiting for the next deal isn't an option. No not because of old age, lol, just for the simple fact you will not find it again.

They are a wider than the ZG flares. I know the seller and he said the top two bidders were out of Japan! Man, big money for some flares....ZG's for me...lol Already check a few sources and can't track down those flares.

G25 wheel is nice but not needed, check craigslist. There was one for sale in nyc for $175 few weeks ago. BestBuy online always has the game $20 and now it comes with GT Legends. It was great racing last night...close and clean.
