  1. In my other thread about the cam, I was taking the cam off my extra P90 head and noticed the manual fuel pump hole is bored out? Was this used on a 240z???? That would of lowerd the compression. Unless this P90 has been milled? How could I tell? And if it has its going on my N/A turbo ASAP!!
  2. I changed some of my hose clamps on my intercooler plumbing. After that the car was spudering real bad. Tightend everything I could think of. Cleaned my dizzy cap. changed location of my Accel super coil. nothing would make the sputter go away? So I thought "Valve adjustment?" My N47 head is only about 1 1/2 years old from new and I set the valves once when I put it on. I start gapping my valves turning the cam at the cam chain bolt, and everything is going by the book, when I notice the last 2 lobes of the cam are not moving anymore. It snaps in two!! What are the chances it breaks doing a valve adjustment, not on the highway?   3. Man wish I could help, my holley fuel pump continues to prime itself also. It does not really bother me because I'm starting the car. I tried finding the lead that would alow it to prime for 2 sec. but could not? I would say leave the fues out, untill you can figure it all out.
  4. I got a Clark 130e. It has 5 heat settings, wire speed, gas or no gas welding. Just got back from Home Depot with my Argon/CO2 bottle, and did some test runs! I'm ready to go now. 3" turbo down pipe, body work, wow feels like the sky is the limit. I'm a kid with a new toy.

  8. I have the n42 block I think I have the dished pistons 1978, check out my video.....15 pounds of boost N/A block and head, it feels good. And yes I have bigger injectors.
  9. sounds good. I think most of the MSnS people are going with the Toyota Supra 440cc injectors.
  10. yes, it feels so good now I really don't want to lower the compression and end up with less power off boost. When I first put my turbo setup together I put the turbo throttle body on, and it felt so under powerd untill boost came on. so I put my TB back on wich I think is a 60mm? Its much bigger than the turbo TB. So I want to keep my compression, but have better flow.
  11. the n47 has steel inserts in the exhaust ports. I don't think you can port it out? Has anyone taken the steel things out ???
  12. I now have the N47 head with small round exhaust ports, I've seen the E88 head, and it looks like the P90, with squar exhaust ports. Then I've also read about the heads that came on the 240z's. I don't want my compression any higher than stock, I think all mine are at about 165-170 psi per cyclinder? But I don't really want to go any lower. I have a P90 that I bought, and was originally going to put on, but I don't want to lower my compression that much. It feels great right now, but if say and E88 head would flow better, and I can keep the same compression I think I would be happy?
  13. I just fattened my AFM. It is now PIG rich! So when it creeps on the highway I get almost no Ping. But I still want to port out the flapper hole?
  14. I agree, I have the n/a 5 speed and I keep telling myself I need to check the gear oil level, In 5th it sounds a bit "dry" so I think 5th might be weaker than the other four gears.
  15. No I have the turbo oil pump. I took everything off the bad turbo motor I got that I could! And yes I have the stock n/a fuel pump, and a holley fuel pump just not sure what kind???
  16. I had a intake exhaust gasket that was leaking, after I put a new one on it felt like it would boost better. But I could hear it leaking.

  18. What do you mean ported it out? Are you talking about the "puck" seat? I've read the whole post and I'm trying to learn all the lingo, because I have the same problem. I set it at 12 and in 5th it wants to go to 16-17ish I set it at 14 and it wants to go to 18-20!!! I want to set it at 14-15 and I want it to stay there.

  23. It might be your CAS I'm on my 3rd one, it did the same thing one day it would not go over 2K then would not rev past 1.5K It sputterd, poped. I don't know if there is a way to check it, I just got a new dizzy off e-bay. its been runnig great for about 3 or so months now, but for a time I had the same symptoms, and went through 2 CAS
