In California they won't release current owner information and many states are adopting that same practice. Here in CA a man got DMV name and address information from license plates and VINs and proceeded to rape and kill a female celebrity or two.
Check the tensioner you installed and the installation itself. It appears from the pictures that there was too much lateral load on the alternator and the casing fractured.
Just a running joke like the dozens about American stereotypes. Although I never did get use to baked beans for breakfast.
Spent a lot of time in Reading and learned that Strongbow isn't a beer, to the laughter of most everyone in the pub.
That be a no. Only one was ever made and it was an amazing amount of work - cutting, hammering, welding, hammering, grinding, hammering, sanding, and polishing. If I made another one it would be about $800.
You're putting way too much thought and effort into this. I've autocrossed many times in San Diego and they have a 91 db limit. The 90 degree bend pointed away from the sound meter should work fine for your setup. It worked for my 2.8L that had a 3" exhaust and a straight through Borla XR1 muffler. Took it from 94 db to 91 db. - that and a early upshift at the right time.
Depending on how powerful the grinder is, they can kick the crap out of you too. Snag one of the knotted wire brush cups on a corner with powerful grinder and its going somewhere real fast. I use them too and they work well but I don't have the cup on a very powerful grinder. A small DeWalt works fine for me and my shoulders.
Cheerio, pip pip, and all that rot. Have a bloody good time and get pissed, just don't eat the food. Some of the locals are here on the board and hopefully they can give your some more relevant suggestions.
Probably not. I think there are overall spring length differences between the 240 and 280Z. And since the front Tokico's are progressive they will probably be next to useless with the increased weight of the 280Z.
If you use thin nylock nuts you can use a 1/4" spacer above the insulator. You can also put a small spacer between the insulator and the upper spring perch. Forgot how thick that one could be, but it depends on how much thread is available on the shock shaft.
