  1. Christmas tree carbide burr on an air die grinder. Keep spraying the burr with WD40 to cool it and use two hands.
  2. For you street guys, don't let the tire shops pad the bill with another $36 to put nitrogen in your tires - unless you're driving a Nissan GTR.
  3. Brake shoes stuck against the drum?
  4. Ace Gas in La Habra. 336 cu.in. bottle. $75.95 for Argon, $65.95 for C25, don't remember for Oxy/Acetalyn with free delivery and setup. All are rental with $8 a month per bottle.
  5. Make two aluminum spacers about 1/2" to 1" thick and space the bar away (rearward) from the traverse link mounting plates. Also, get shorter bolts for the end links.
  6. That's why people are walking away. The folding up of the chassis dissipates the impact energy and slows the human being in car at a more gradual rate. How that same pole in a 1990 F350 pickup and the driver is dead.
  7. More morons: http://jalopnik.com/5313453/three-teens-obliterate-2010-mustang-on-test-drive/gallery/
  8. Careful with that seat Eugene! http://www.livescience.com/health/081211-toilet-seat-dangers.html
  9. Found out you can get them new here: http://www.piercemanifolds.com/ But the quality is a bit low. The carb mounting studs are not centered on the port and the mounting flange is off a bit too.
  10. I can probably weld it back together. Post a picture.
  11. That car is beyond a "rust repair" job. As mentioned its been wrecked and poorly repaired. Even though I could probably bill 8 to 10K to fix that car if a customer brought it in to me, I would do my very best to convince him to part it out and scrap the chassis.
  12. I just picked up a 1995 Infinity Q45 for $3,500. Too good a car to pass up for that price and I'll eventually give it to my stepdaughter when she moves back here from NYC.
  13. Inyokern Airport. http://www.inyokernairport.com/
  14. Need a pair of each. Clean threads and good wheel studs. Shipping will be to 90631 - La Habra, CA. Let me know how much and I can do PayPal, CC, check, etc. Thanks.
  15. Spend more time cleaning the weld area as mentioned above. Also, when seam welding try to make 1" long weld beads with 1.5" between each bead. The little spot welds you're doing are not as effective and longer beads spaced a little further apart.
  16. Built the exhaust below for a SCCA T2 Camaro that made the pole twice at the Runoffs. This specific designed gained 20hp and 35 ft. lbs. over the stock exhaust with a proper "mix and match" ECU tune and CAI. The position of the X pipe and merge collector were critical. Don't run a Y pipe.
  17. Some would also describe that feeling as: dead, unresponsive, beached. How any of these 30+ year old cars feel at speed has much, much more to do with the condition of the car then anything Nissan engineered. A 1969 240Z with a complete suspension re-do will feel light years better at 120 mph the a beater 1983 280ZXT with three blown shocks and air for suspension bushings.
  18. I used to use a set of NAPA 7 ton jackstands that went up 30".
  19. FYI... the picture above of the "home computer" is a hoax. Its a photoshop of a nuclear submarine helm mockup, a RCA TV from around 1960, a Burroughs Telex console, and some old guy in a polyester suit.
  20. Happy Birthday and time to get some new leathers. They were probably old and 80's looking anyway....
