  1. Miles, that is a great letter to use as a model to send to our senators. Proposed bills like this always make the hair stand up on the back of my neck---they push and push until finally they pass it into law when no one is looking. Or they push and push until parts of the bill get put into law, chipping away at freedom and liberty as we know it... Davy
  2. The black S30 ZG is a really cool looking car. However, the silver one is the car that catches my eye--I especially like those 5-spoke rims and the big meats that fill the flares Davy
  3. Ha! I believe the full quote is: "Good tires" ' date=' Bob said as he calmly lit a cigarette, " but certainly not great tires". Road and Track 197?, back page caption of a photo of a Ferrari in a ditch. I can't believe I remember that![/quote'] Oh, you are correct! Greimann, we are dating ourselves and should have known there would be at least one fellow on this board, like you, that would remember that quote--I guess I'm not so clever after all Davy
  4. Why would it get gross? Is that synthetic suede or genuine suede? Why would oils from your skin make it gross? Davy
  5. Nice work, Brad! Very cool to keep the heater controls in there--that was always a reason I did not want to do this, but now.... Davy
  6. He also has some other "R1" seats available too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404756699 Davy
  7. Randy, where exactly do you buy the Lucas units? That seems like a great price if those are the disc-type ones I read about. What do they flow? Davy
  8. "Good tires, but certainly not great tires." Davy
  9. No this is not normal! Something is certainly amiss and you should probably replace the unit since they are not that expensive at places like Home Depot. I bought a jumbo 50 gallon, mega-year warranty, self-cleaning unit for my home. It took all of a couple of hours to install it and get it up and running. What takes the most time is having to replumb because the building codes have changed since 1972!!! Arg. Davy
  10. Retail price is over $19,000?!? Man, I have never purchased ANYTHING that costs that much, except my house. If you could get a hold of one of those, you could send it to China and have them make copies of that car for under $1000 each. Then, you could ship them back and sell them for $5000 each and still make a killing. $19,000?!?!! If I'd have that much now to just crazy spend, I'd buy a V8 Z for me and buy my kid a fast go cart. Ah to be rich... Davy
  11. Man, you deserve a break: the site looks great, it works great, and we are happy! Thanks for all the hard work, time, effort, and thought that went into make this all happen. Davy
  12. If that's true, then I'm a baaaaaad boy!!
  13. Pete, didn't I read someplace in this forum that the Jeg's heads were actually Canfields, but at a lower cost w/o the logo?? Would that be an option? Davy
  14. It's very easy, Mike. Just be sure to drain that bad boy before you tackle it. Also, shut off all gas too!! Davy
  15. Good kill Dave! I like it like that! Did you find work out there yet? Davy

    PICS!!!!!

http://westyhs.jtwn.k12.pa.us/2003/jbk103/mycar.htm Now people can 'click' on all they want (no brackets). Nice Z in the snow. Brrrr, too cold for me. Davy
  17. An autoparts store or even Summit Racing will have them in stock. Davy
  18. "Unique?" Umm, well MSA has some cool body kits, but I'm not sure if they are what you are looking for. http://www.zcarparts.com Davy
  19. In think it was Z-Fest or Z's by the Bay. Great show BTW. Davy
  20. Welcome to the board! (formally speaking) I work in the Sunset District at 33rd and Vicente BTW--come by for a chat and some coffee (Len168 knows I'm good for that!). Anyway, I have not seen too many junkyards in the SF area--perhaps Len168 or Mudge can comment. In the East Bay there are simply buttloads of yards in Hayward and Fremont. The local Pic-n-pull or Pick-your-part are usually cheap (they even have holiday specials, etc) and are decent, albeit well scavenged, yards to pull a V8 from. The yards in Fremont have a ton of Chevy vans and large Chevy cars to get 350's from. I have yet to find a 400 block but I'm still looking Good luck in your search and rebuilding a V8---just make sure it is at least a 350 cubic inch V8. ONe great thing about the 350, the rebuild kits are the cheapest and the displacement is perfect for a Z Davy
  21. Be patient and the answers will come. *BUMP* Davy
  22. If you mean the setback plates that mount to the motor-mounts (stock parts), you will have to make them or have them made since there are no kits that I am aware of mounting the Buick motor in the car--don't let this stop you!! The tranny mount can be fabbed as well, although Hooker may make a 350 tranny mount, and the JTR mount can work as well. It's just going to take some creative work on your part to make it happen. Good luck. Davy
