The autometer guage I have In there now was working with the current sender. I'm hoping I can just find a replacement and call it square.

I just called the Z store and they are tellin me that the 280 sending units are not available anymore. He suggested I use a universal unit. Anyone run into this issue with aftermarket guages? Any "quick" fixes?
-
I have a 77 so is my best bet to stick with a 280 unit? Also does anyone know if the stock sending unit will work with autometer guages?
-
Is there a difference between the 240,260,280z fuel tank sending units?
-
That's a great price. I would have stuck with the 317 heads though. They are a better platform for turbo due to the lower compression they provide.
-
Sorry 77 280z. Do they make them in a single peice that covers the fender wells as well? That would be nice. I can't seem to find any on ebay. Maybe my searching skills are sub par.

Does anyone have a source for just the shock tower covers in the rear? I just put new black carpet in so i would prefer carpet. I searched in the interior section and only found one thread with any info but the link given was dead.

Nice Alain! X2 on the billboard comment. I had a set of bumpers built for my f-250 a couple months back and the people where dumb founded when I told them to remove all the logo's from their design. If I'm paying for it I'm not advertising it for free.

I've also heard of people using the drain plug for a temp reading for the trans. Might give that a try when it's time for a change. The oil pressure comes from a removed plug in the valley at the rear of the motor.
-
Im trying to avoid pulling the pan and tapping it. I was hoping there was an easy access port already on the trans. Ive heard about tapping the oil cooler blocl off plate but again was hoping there was a plug somewhere on the motor that i could throw a temp sensor in its place.

Im curious what Those of you that went with the MSA carpet kits did with the two cab peices. Did you guys sew them together? When I originally purchased the kit I thought it was 1 molded peice but it appears to be in two sections. I don't know that I'm happy about having a line down the middle of the carpet reaching from one door panel to the other. I am not running a center console and worried it will look bad.

Really looking forward to watching this come together. It looks like your making good progress. Keep it up man

Anybody have any idea how the hell this is possible? Just installed my dapper lighting projectors

I have a couple questions regarding sensor placement. I have an lq4 in my 77 and im wanting to put an autometer oil temp guage and a trans temp guage. Can anyone point me in the easiest direction to installing these sending units?

Thanks

Looking for the 4 bolts that mount the driver and passenger seats belts to the body. If anyone knows the bolt size that would help out as well

Lol no worries, you did have me a bit confused though.

Spintech makes oval/even square exhaust and piping for those tight fits. Check there website out sometime.
Ive seen this before. I think the square tubing will be a good fit for what im needing. Thanks

I rewound the wire when I first hooked up the guage but haven't tried cleaning the connections yet. The car will be down for a couple of months for major mods and repairs so ill give that a try before I send it off.
