  3. Its an RB20 ECU...a RB25 Turbo...The ECU is chipped to accpet this mod. What problems do you fore see?
  4. I bought a cross flow rad from these guys.... http://www.northernfactory.com/HP/default.asp Nice unit and not that expensive...I also picked up their electric cooling fan setup...made to fit. I bought off their ebay sales. The only short fall is the rad is a bit deep and falls below the front cross member..but I overcame thsi no problem I reccomend them!

  6. Yahoo.... I turned her over last night and was planing to fire her up but I had a small snag or two... Oil pressure was obtained and then a coolant leak started....the cooling line at the banjo bolt started to leak...so a tightened it up and it stated to pour... The brass washer cracked, fortunately I had a spare. Then I started the fuel pump...waited a moment for it to pressurize and then heard splashing....I FORGOT TO INSTALL A FLEXIBLE LINE between the tank and the return hard line...... . No extra fuel line was had so I never did install the ECU and tested finished. It was just as well, I was in the dog house anyway for spending so much time in the garage. So I will have her running SOON..ECU gods allowing. My plan is to install a stock ECU first...in case smoke comes out as I hear its hard to put back in. The I will install the rechipped ECU and finally the Power FC.   7. Thanx...I checked my FSM and all I called find was data on the GTR tranny....I wasnt sure if they are the same.
  8. Could someone confirm the oil capacity of a 5 speed out of a GTS-t. Is it 2 liters? Or do you fill untill reaches the fill hole. Thanx!!
  9. I will just go with this FP setup, I have a slick fuel rail I picked up from a shop in Autralia and I will just clean up the FP flange...but I will need to switch the lines around cause it sounds like I have it backwards.... Thanx!!
  10. Yup I have it in the order you outline...just wasnt sure if it goes back to the tank via the "Tail" or the side. I couldnt figure out how to connect to my rail...Im sure the shape of the mounting bracket was designed that way for a reason ...and NISMO claims its universal...Im just not sure from which universe. Its very odd. Can anyone confirm this....? Thanx for the reply!!!!
  11. Im lost and I cant find directions.....check out the pic of the fuel reg....which way does the fuel flow??? Its a NISMO adjustable style. In through the bottom and out the side and back to the fuel tank OR into the side and out the bottom and back to the fuel tank. Sorry...Im having upload problems.... Thanx
  12. In regards to hooking up a RB25DET... You will first require a consult connector...In case yours is damaged or just missing I have these available to Hybridz for $10US a piece + postage. This includes new pins. The blazt cable colours should match up to the Pin positions in this fashion...Power can be any 12V source prefer ignition source...ground is ground...... Red - Power Black - Gnd Blue - Clock ....... Pin # 31 Diagnostics Clock White - Tx ....... Pin# 22 Diagnostics Send Data Yellow - Rx ....... Data Pin# 21 Diagnostics Receive Data Chk position 47 is not required for NDS software. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR POSTIONS AGAINST A WIRING PRINT this was for a R33...standard disclaimer..blah blaha blah....   13. I cant argue the strength of a stand alone. NDS is not so much a tuning tool but a diagnostic tool. In fact it wont work with stand alones because the data flows from different addresses. Rechiped ECUs will work....stand alone will not. But if gives alot of information on parameters that can be logged and compared against each other in order to assist in trouble shooting and directing your tuning resources. One thing I like is it will give you performance info like 0-60....this beats any seat of the pant wow thats faster feelings!

  15. I love the car its great!!...just makes me want to get mine done and on the road. One thing I gotta laugh at....is that a tow connector built into the rear bumper.....what do you tow...you track car!!
  16. I guess I better buy a R32 cluster.....fortunately for me Im running the RB20 so the mechanical speedo is perfect. And yes the SX tach is the same, 3 brass screws hold it in place and all three are "live". DOES ANYONE HAVE A R32 GTS-T GAUGE CLUSTER FOR SALE??????
  17. AHHHHH!!!!...I pulled out an old SX cluster I have....is the circuit just an overlay?.................. And the crcuit feeds are to the various warning lights and assesory gauges?? This is a great idea I never considering for my RB20det swap!! Has anyone sucessfully or unsuccesfully completed this swap??

  20. Im in the final details of setting up my RB20 and am working out the gauge details. ..... excuse my ignorance but.....why would one want a boost vacuum gauge over a straight boost gauge. Im thinking of going boost only as its a cleaner scale. Is knowing the vacuum important on a boosted engine?? I dont get it! Thanx

  22. I hope to have something cleared up. Does the air regulator come into play when starting in cold weather or all the time. For instance, is there a temperature at which it begins to be necessary. I guess Im trying to figure out if I drive the car only during the sumer will the impact me. Also ...the AAC valve......can anyone explain how it works to control the idle. I know it hooks up to the ECU but when does it kick in and what does it do? And why is it hooked up to the AC?? THanx
