'79 280ZX at Mecum

Noticed this in the list of lots sold today at Mecum. Sold for $16,000!

 

"This 1979 Datsun 280 ZX 2-seater coupe has traveled a mere 12,863 miles since new (many service receipts to verify miles). It is the original 905 Cherry Red with a flawless black interior. Both original keys, all the books, many service receipts and the original window sticker are all present. It is equipped with the 2.8L fuel injected overhead cam straight six and 5-speed gearbox, power 4-wheel disc brakes, 4-wheel independent suspension, AM/FM radio, 6-way driver’s seat, tinted windows, rack-and-pinion steering. Presented here is a rare, never smoked in, unmolested example that has survived the test of time."

Looks like the same car. I thought the dealer wanted too much. The floor wasn't perfect last time I looked at the car.

Yeah... Some of these people are nuts or think very little of their fellow man's reasoning faculties. Honestly I was very dissapointed in the original ZX in this post. I have always wanted to see a low mile pristine S130. I have yet to see one. You think the aboves bad? There was a guy on the Houston Craigslist who wanted 3k for an 83 ZX Turbo with 30k advertised as clean. Checked out the car and the floors were gone, the the tail light area was rusted through, two injectors were plugged up, and the title was a bonded title with two years left on the bond. Nice Daily Driver, low rust, with clean paper.... Yeah right . Left my number and told him when he wanted parts to give me a call

Found one uber clean like this in Germany (euro) spec version with all of the docs and TUV certs they wanted something like 25,000 Euros but this car you have linked us to has to be the cleanest 

S130 I have seen to date but  I'd rather that car been a (ZX-R) or a 10th aniversary Edition

God, those rims just kill it for me................................Yah and the NASCAR comment, YES, cuz at Nissan we only go left and round and round........................................

 

 

10th car - do bad it does not have the original blue and yellow plates

That ZXR is pretty sweet. If he has the documentation to back it up it, and its as rust free as it looks, then its worth something at least.
