milesz 12 Posted April 27, 2020 I replaced the rack and pinion, strut mount insulators and strut bearings. That improved the shaking but it still shakes just not as much. Any ideas why its still shakes? Thanks in advance,
Neverdone 31 Posted April 27, 2020 How old are your tires, and when was the last time you had your wheels aligned?
bunkhouse 1 Posted April 27, 2020 Do you feel the shake in the steering wheel or your butt? Trying to isolate the problem. Front or rear.
jhm 128 Posted April 28, 2020 Wheels out of balance seems to be the obvious answer, in most cases. Other possibilities include flat spots in tires, rims that are bent, worn steering rack bushings (the mounting bushings that are used to clamp it to the front crossmember), worn steering coupler, worn out shocks. jonbill 1 Posted April 28, 2020 My two major sources of vibration/shaking were tyre wear patterns and worn front wheel bearings.
