I must admit, it is an illness!

As was stated earlier on another string, I enjoy the build part of my Z car work, and as usual, I can't leave well enough alone. Well, I experimented with the side vents behind the front wheels to see what some side strakes , inserted into the vent sculpturing, would look like. They will be attached with screws so it wont be permanent should I decide not to use them, but they seem to "work" to help lengthen the front clip (as if that were a problem?). Here is what I came up with:

Is that going to be deep enough to pull air from inside the fenderwell, or is it even intended to? Looks really cool :2thumbs: , but I'm guessing you got your inspiration from the Indonesian guy with the dubs and his seemed deeper, plus he's got a lip in front to help create a little vacuum there.

My wife read this and thought it was insulting (she is a little sensitive though), I hope you don't take it that way...

I like it. My only suggestion would be to make them flush on the outer edge of the fender, and tapered on the trailing edge so that it doesn't leave such an abrupt ending. Definitely keep us posted though, looks awsome, as always :2thumbs:

Terry,

As usual your car is looking incredible, I cannot post enough of these:

:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

or these:

I like it with and without, I can see it looking really good painted a dark blue or red with the black vents, very cool no matter what. Hopefully someday I will see that car in person, especially after seeing all its transformations.

I've got to vote without as well. Starting to verge on the "too busy" look. Perhaps if there were fewer strakes, maybe only two or three but more of a bulkier strake. You've designed bold accents into your car, one reason we all love it so, those thin little strakes are just too delicate to fit into the more substantial persona of your Z.
