Because it's probably the only part on my Z that has never and hopefully will never need to be fixed, replaced or screwed with and does what it's supposed to do every time!!! But seriously... I LOVE the way this shifter looks with the shift boot attached to the knob almost like they are one piece... it's very clean looking and I get complements on that probably more than any other feature of the car.... just adds that nice little finishing touch to the interior.
