That name just fits that car and give it so much personality. I think every car has a personality waiting to be found. A name just helps people see it. With the ENTIRE starting football offensive squad in the back, and 2 people with me in the cab, I would smoke rubber all the way down the street! I had fun with the 3rd gear torque pulling away from folks. What a monster. ps. Jon would remember this: it had variable timing, as well. (and the fact that it is a Datsun Z Car is a pure co-incidence, believe it or not). To me, from a front-on angle, he looks a little sleepy/dopey, and Daz goes well with that. To me it's a name that even if he does something wrong (which is quite likely to be the case) I just can't get 'that' mad at him. With a name like Daz, it's hard. zeeboost Posted October 26, 2005 Share Posted October 26, 2005 To avoid confusion between me and my girlfriend's Z discussions, I decided to give them all names easy for her to remember: 1972 240zt - Kiwi 1982 280zxt - Turbie 1982 280zx v8 - The V8 1977 280z 2+2 - Ugly (She'll be painted in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I can change her name -- although it may be difficult with that damn back seat ) Kiwi seems to be about the most fitting name for the 240 -- I actually grew accustomed to it.
