David K
In order for a black pillar trim peice to look good, you gotta follow up with painting all the ss trim around the car.

Austenp405
I don't mean to drag up an old thread, but in this month's Grassroots Motorsports (the one with the Viper on the cover) the internet car of the month is a 280ZX with blacked out b-pillars. It really finishes the look of the car. http://www.grmotorsports.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=9749&highlight=280zx There is also this one. http://www.grmotorsports.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=14266&highlight=280zx
EZ-E
Hmm well Im for one glad that you did, it seems the only way to cut any part of it out woud be with a hard top verision. I will say though that it does make the car and all that trim look much better blacked out then with the stainless look, I do like it much better. Thanks for posting. Gollum
It's official... i'm painting my ugly stainless trim... Gawd that's purrty. If you black out the side you really need to black out the top and windsheild trip as well. I'd probly also have to tint by quarter windows. But man does that look worlds better. 260DET
Personally I like shiney bits, more bling. So, either black out just the big lump vent things, or, replace them with some custom made vents. Thinking of making some flat framed vents with rear facing expanded mesh to do the venting.
Sparks280zt
There was an s130 at SEZ with an rb26 in it and the owner had the plastic B pillar with the grooves. He put filler in the grooves and sanded it all smooth and looked real clean, but it was not painted yet.
