The Woj
Well, maybe not quite - but damn close. I apologize if it's been posted before, but check out this [presumably] one-off on ebay: Custom Widebody Here's the rehosted pictures of it for when the auction dies:
b__sosick
Would be such a cool car....minus the wavy looking front grill-thing. And the hatch louvers.
Some-Guy
That grill is horrible looking I dont mind the louvers so much, Not a bad car tho Idd drive it
Warren
Perhaps the wavy looking idea in the front is that maybe there's supposed to be 4 more headlights up there, i.e. ralley style. It looks as if they might have been there at one time. Who knows? Warren
auxilary
it'd be a cool car if all the bodywork and paint was gone
AK-Z
I like how they added a little bit over the area where the front side markers are, but that grille gots to go, whether or not it was for lights IMO.
mark
I smell a scam. The rest of the sellers items are silverware.
Boobala
It would be a nice car except for the... The yellow paint with a single white stripe. (I hate yellow) The paint on the windshield. The paint on the wipers The grill The whale tail The hood scoops The rear window louvers (painted or not) I'm not too crazy about the bodywork either. Guest iskone
First thing I thought was rally too, but why go through all that work just too beat it up in a rally? It's also too bad it's a 280 chassis Isk
zeeboost
I e-mailed him to see if I can get an address so I can swing by and check it out -- it's been 12 hours and nothing yet.

Makes you think it's a scam, but not everyone is on the net all day like some of us, LOL Isk
HeatRaveR
Hehe, for some reason, the front shot of the car kinda makes me think it's "cute". I keep thinking it's some little anime character/face that's got a wavy mouth cuz it's about to cry.
patzky1
He painted the louvres: ew He painted the wipers: ew He painted the friggin' quarter panel z emblems: EWWWW (cries) Otherwise, I'd drive it. It would just need some different wheels. Pat

CruxGNZ
The front looks like Homer Simpsons mouth when he burps.

zeeboost
I've made contact with him. He constructed the fiberglass himself over a duration of 4 years. Here's what he told me: When I finished it in '96, I was offered $12,000 by a friend. Now things have changed.... All those before mentioned pieces were hand made on the car bymyself over a FOUR year process, working on weekends-off and on. They are one of a kind, NOT a kit, as I am a sculptural artist and did this car out love, back when it wasn't the popular thing to do. The only kit pieces are the 4" IMSA flares and IMSA whaletail which is also modified with the extension and the front spoiler "bones". The driprails are shaved also. The rear end was damaged 16 years ago by my Dad and Mom, it a garage sale-ghost riding fiasco. All damage is fixable, and the car can be finished I can do it. The frame is rust free, at least is was last time I inspected it. EXPECT to see a car in need of help, it is rusty, dirty and begging for a friend!! He gave me directions to the car's location, so I'll probably be checking it out tomorrow, or when weather permits. I told him I would be taking pictures on behalf of a forum dedicated to modified Zs, and he told me to ask if any of you were interested in a front clip he made for his 280z. I didn't get a price from him.
