big-phil
I got a good deal on this 240z air dam with blinkers, but the guy folded it in half to put it in the box. I knew I had to glass it, but now it needs alot of fixing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&item=330006094976&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 did anyone on here sell this to me? bjhines
I have recieved several items from people who did stupid things like that... The all time winner was an E-31 head that was wrapped in a flap of cardboard and tied with twine... then sent through UPS fully assembled.. partially assembled and thouroghly ruined when arrived... What a friggin MORON!!!... He got bad feedback for that one I assure you... I actually got the money back.. but he would not pay shipping which was almost $100... again.. what a moron.... kcelectronics
If you paid with PayPAl then you could probably make a claim. Quote PayPAl Dispute resolution on PayPal purchases. When you pay with PayPal, you gain access to a forum for dispute resolution called the Resolution Center. Through it, you can file a claim against: A physical good that you paid for but never received. A physical good you purchased on eBay that is significantly different than what was described in the listing. Dispute Resolution specialists gather information about your transaction and help you resolve the issue. Throughout the process, you’ll be advised of your claim’s status via email and on your Account Overview page.

jnjdragracing
I hate to hear that big-phil, maybe he brought it to a shipping company and they folded and shipped it. I would email paypal, they have helped me in the past. I would email the seller 1st to see waht he has to say, then if he will not do anything, email paypal and explain the situation. 2003z
how did he fold a fiberglass part??????? That really stinks man. I just bought a used transparent top for my C6 and it arrived broken yesterday. Even packed in the factory box. UPS better come through with their shipping insurance, or its $800 down the drain.
big-phil
I e-mailed him and asked why, and surly it was never bent in half before he shipped it. He said yes it was already bent in half. he straighted it to take the picture. All I can say is it was only $33, I just put my last coat of glass on (my fingers are sticking to the keyboard) and it got here SUPER fast! like 3 days, and Ive now got the 240z blinkers to make my front end look like a 240z! which I think looks VERY bada$$!!! It was funny when the box got here, I said to my self "I wonder what that is?" then I opened it and saw the 2 blinkers next to each other! still mounted in the air dam. BIGJIM
For the money, you still got a sweet deal. The blinkers alone can be sold for more than 33 bucks. The fiberglass repair is easy, glad to see you took care of it big-phil, its looking good!
Chewievette
It looks to me like it was folded in one of the pics and not in another. Either way it was still a good deal. If you want, Jenison is right down the street. I could go slap him if you still want someone to.
veritech-z
He'd never see you coming with that fly new paint job, either! "Attitude adjustment delivery service, I have a package here for shady ebay seller?" "I'm sorry, you're from whe***SMACK!!!!!****" "That will be $39.95 COD, will this be cash, check, or charge?" Sumo
It does look like it is crooked in the pictures, either way you still had to glass it and straighten it judging from the pictures. You still got a great deal for the airdam but you just had an idiot who packed it and sold it to you. That'll look really good on your car. RedNeckZ
Can you give us some more info on who this person is? Or at least what part of the country, that he is from? I like to buy from people I know and trust. Has anyone check out his site?
Shift
Thats a nice deal. I've seen 240z turn signals go for way way more than $33 (up over $100).
big-phil
Its all done! I had to move the drivine lights to another spot. I welded plate in the bracket where the 280 blinkers were so the light would not hit the 240 air dam. Then painted it with the very little black I have left with a small brush. Workinprogress
Big-Phil, it appears that parts of those brackets are made from galvanized steel, be VERY carefull when welding that stuff. Metal fume fever kills Good luck on the airdam recovery efforts.
Guest Carolina280Z
What idiot would do that to begin with , come on I mean how much more would the shipping have been to have sent it in one long box..the dam looks great , the style , hope you dont have to totally rebuild it..man that guy must be related to my next door neighbor , looks like something he would do to save a buck on something. I thought it was because I'm out of gas for the welder, but thanks for the info. I am very new to welding.
