240zV8
I'm gettin pretty close to buying this Z, the only thing standing out on the car is this dent in the front right fender. What would be the best way to go about fixing this? How hard is it to put another fender on? Thanks
240zV8
as of right now, the car is a storage shelf in his garage.
naviathan
That would probably be pretty easy to fix once you pull the fender off.

Bartman
Pulling front fenders off and putting them back on a Z is pretty easy. I see a little bit of rust there, but if it's just surface rust I would think you could pull the fender and pound most of that dent out with a hammer and dolly. If you're not comfortable with fixing it, or the rust is too much, you can always replace it. The only problem is finding a good one to put in its place. Cruez
2 inches of bondo Nah, thats a fairly simple fix... like the others said.. pull the fender and use a dolly.
Sparks280zt
If all else fails you can replace the fender, jmortensen's brother in law has a metric crap ton of datsun parts. He shipped me a nice set of stock fenders all the way to NC at an awesome price. His email is racermat@earthlink.net I THINK, might want to double check with jmort. JMortensen
That's right. I helped him move the metric crap ton of parts too. I was sore for a week!!!
240zV8
It's surface rust from the dent. The car has all new seals and bushings, and comes with a new uninstalled carpet kit to raplace the old. And other than that dent it's straight, and the battery is just dead from parking it. So once the snow up here melts on the roads i'll hopefully pick it up, it's in tacoma.
