My Project: 800HP (Crank) RB26DETT 1998 240SX

Sorry about the delay on posting up dyno numbers, but I have crazy busy and the car has sat for the past few weeks.

I have not added C16 yet, but I did tune the car for E85 Pump Gas. Right now, E85 (106 Octane) is $2.18/gallon at the pump here in Texas, so it's a no-brainer.

As you can see at 25 PSI, the car made 629/490.

I'm decently happy, but will be upgrading probably to a GT42R, as I really want to break 700whp on pump gas.

Also, took the car to be weighed, and I was pleasantly suprised.

With full interior minus a passenger seat, and 3/4 tank of gas, the car came out to 2890 lbs.

Look for a larger turbo, and big power numbers over the next few weeks!

I think the last time he went to the drag strip he grenaded the rear end

LMAO! I retract my previous statement of paying attention to detail... Im guessing you are a drag racer if you grenaded a diff, and im guessing you launched way to hard on a Stock Nissan diff (none of which i have seen perform well over 500 RWHP) ...

Dont worry though I have actually gotten to a drift event after trailering the car and forgot to put gas in it... Gas at VIR is very expensive =) !

GL with the 800 crank and hope it all goes smoothly..

My R230 has held up damn well for the last few years over 500rwhp. The guys running a TH400 trans are launching these things in the 1.3 60ft mark on completely stock rear ends........I was cutting 1.5 60foots on radials and slicks last year

  • 3 weeks later...

I was hoping this was going to be a bolt-on affair, with just new 4" piping needing to be fabricated......right....

The new turbo hit the valve covers, so Jason @Matchless Performance came to the rescue to modify the exhaust manifold.

The block looks so lonely without it's friend.

Starting the modification work on the manifold, basically changing the angle on the flange so the turbo sits flush.

So now....the actions shots...

is e85 really 2.18 a gallon? why so cheap?

we have 112 octane here in OK, and it it 6.00 a gallon at the track.

You should really come to Norway and fill your tank :)

Like 8,2 dollars for a 92 octane gallon :D

Underground: What color code is that paint? Looks sweet.

Why didnt you go twins instead of fatty turbo?

The turbo was sponsored, so I have no idea on the cost.

Careless, we are not done yet with the manifold, and will be working on bracing options tomorrow.

Ahh good stuff. Wouldn't want to see that turbo decide to go into orbit on the dyno. LOL

"WEEEEEEEE, I'm taking your manifold with me!" *spin spin spin*

I had upgraded twins, but the downpipe was melting everything under the hood.

Much easier for clearances to go singe.

what's with the bumper mismatch and the funky offset for the back wheels.

The whole car used to be carbon fiber two-tone, but then I ordered a Cwest Full Body Kit to change the look of the car. (Had been shot for a few magazines, and I wanted to update the look to get back into more magazines for 2007.)

Well, the container showed up and the rear bumper was missing. I ended up keeping the carbon rear, and decided to eventually paint it.

I just have not done so yet, but may in time, who knows.

In regards to the wheels, what's the issue? They are 18x10 with a 295/35/18 tire. On a 240SX with a factory 6.5" (205/55/16) wide wheel, there is going to be some overhang.
