ITS ALIVE!!!! Video Inside!

I cant believe I'm actually typing this but after almost a year of being heartless, My Z fired up with the RB26 tonight.

I have been working every night for the last week relentlessly getting all the wiring and the little things done, and it feels so good to hear this beast start up.

Obviously I have alot left to do, but this is a HUGE hurdle in the project. I think I woke all the neighbors up in the process....

Here's the vid!

Oh and the last little clip was from NOPI like a year ago, had to get some Ho's on tape, lol!!!!

I'm not going to sleep tonight, haha

Yes, It was the first time I've yelled out loud with enjoyment since I can remember, my g/f heard the car start up from all the way in the house(detached garage) and came out to see what all the racket was about!

To everyone regarding the last clip, I was at NOPI in St Louis and there was some girls dancing on stage and I had probably drank about 10 beers so naturally I'd be pointing the camera at that!:icon10:

Congratz!!!

Sounds kinda rough, are you running standalone?

Mario

PS What's the video at the end ;)

I assume she'll idle pretty rough until any tuning is done and all the little things are fixed. I have several vaccum leaks, and this was just a basemap that came with the AEM

I'm curious about the AEM as well - so you cleaned up the stock wiring, and then ran the AEM.... That may be an option for me to consider since I have been hesitant to go down the road of stand-alone and the associated wiring,(which really isn't all that much).

the AEM is a standalone, so how would this differ from your other options?

Because it plugs into the stock wiring vs. having to run all new wiring from the standalone,(such as MOTEC, TEC, etc..).

Makes it somewhat simpler and utilizes all the factory sensors - where as some use GM, etc...

See here:

The "unmounted" picture should give people an idea of what I'm talking about.

Here is the basic info on the P-n-P system from AEM:

there are some other options for plugin options, as well as guides that you can download to help you with your particular application. I don't see why AEM is the only choice here. but carry on...
