OlderThanMe
I thought that it would be cool to see everyone's before and after engine pics... I'd like to see the start of your engine and then when it is done... IE not L6-v8... show your V8 when you got it and then when it's "done" I'll start out: My L26 before: 3 years later: Powdercoated by Mike Golding (2003z) Valve cover had a layer of clear powder on top of the "prismatic black". Head got painted in hi-temp black as well as all the manifolds and SUs. And now I start over... And a start for the new motor:

Administrators RTz Posted December 24, 2007 Administrators Share Posted December 24, 2007 Before... During... After... Dan, I'm thinking this is a potentially great thread, but I'm also thinking that it should stick to your title... "Before & After". We have plenty of "Ideas & Solid Works"... it would be nice to see actual 'After'.

Administrators RTz Posted December 24, 2007 Administrators Share Posted December 24, 2007 I'm working on it Ron... No offense intended! It seems as though any 12 year old with ambition and a PC can build a virtual F1 car. These day's, I very much appreciate the 'real thing'. Don't hesitate to ignore me P.S. Justin... NICE! Administrators RTz Posted December 25, 2007 Administrators Share Posted December 25, 2007 . . . . Mike Hintz car was a two-year group effort beween Mike, Braap, myself, and a painter. Sadly, I can't give him his due credit as I don't know him or his name
Roostmonkey
Sorry , no before pics , but you all know what dirty stock L28et looks like.
Vintage
Engine bay of my '75 right before purchase - Most recent picture - Looks real similar to that now, except it has a turbo manifold/t3 on it, and no intake. I monkeyed with the turbo intake I had laying around and decided to sandblast my N42, paint it black, and polish the stock linkage. Car is getting Z31 ECU/MAF/TB. Also getting member Evildky's (I believe) old fuel rail and stock turbo injectors.
